mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a bright hazy orange body with a small white creamy head. Lots of orange and citrus aroma accompanied by some sweet biscuit malt and apricot. Juicy flavour with nice hop resin but not overly bitter. Some fruitiness is present too in the form of apricot and pineapple. Not bad, but a bit sweet for my tastes. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 2, 2007 Hops, hops, and more hops. But right on for the style. Good mix of hops to prevent if from being too bitter, but instead right on the money with the citrus even grapefruit heavy taste. Quite nice, excellent summer brew. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Aug 13, 2008Name: Heavy Seas Loose Cannon

the cherry cuts the grapefruit and bitter edge and gives it a bit more of a fruity character, works well

jobyone (234), Charlotte, USA Aug 28, 2007 Pours amber color with average white head. Has an aroma of Flowers. Initial flavor has little bitterness. Short finish. Had this during a tasting of 6 IPAs and this was good but lackeing in character. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 27, 2007 Now this is how a IPA should be made, malty and hoppy but not astringent hoppy. the hops are floral, grassy and slightly piney. the rest is smooth with lots of malt. A real winner! nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 27, 2007 The aroma is for hop heads and I like that. It’s got both pine and citrus elements as well as plenty of caramel malt. The appearance is orange gold with a smaller head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a good IPA. tagz (334), USA Aug 27, 2007 Updated: Jan 10, 2008orange with white foamy head and some lacing taboot. mod - high floral (citrus, pine) nose leads the flavor. finishes with an underwhelming bitter. low carbonation and noticeably oily palate. its a nice looking ipa and the flavors are decent but the palate turned me off a bit. and, with little bite to keep the floral hops in check. re-rate: must have had an off bottle last time round because the one i’m drinking right now has a solid resinous bite and isn’t overly floral. a pretty well rounded ipa in all. the palate is a bit oily but i’m going to bump it upand flavor too! mfaulke (81), clemson, South Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2007 I usually overlook IPAs and go straight for the big boys (DIPAs), but this one is definitely worth checking out. It has a lighter, almost sweeter flavor, and the finish is on the low end of the bitterness side. Definitely more of a session beer than its close relatives of the double variety. A well done brew.
