damienv10 (108), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 17, 2007 Great IPA one of my favorites. Definitely more hoppy than malty but a nice balance between the two. Slepkov (18), Ithaca, Alabama, USA Jul 16, 2007 In my opinion, this is a more hop-heavy brew than Stone Ruination IPA. It lacks some of the balance of the latter, but makes up for it with a monstrous bouquet of flowers and grapefruit. In the mouth, the grapefruit is so dominant, that I may just stop drinking grapefruit for breakfast and become an AM Ale drinker. Impressive if overstated. But then again, a triple IPA is not about subtlety. Too good (not)to share. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jul 15, 2007 Bottle purchased at Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a sparkling amber with a rocky, off-white head that laces fairly well. An interesting nose: herbal, floral and citrus hops with a light caramel malt backing. It’s been a while since I’ve had an IPA that didn’t punch me with a distinct pine or grapefruit aroma up front. Medium-bodied and slick with a nice bitter finish, the flavor is citrus, flowers, earthy herbs, pepper and caramel malts backing up the show. A nice blend of flavors and a tight bitter finish. A refreshingly different and mouthwatering IPA that demands you take another sip. rdelljh (117), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2007 Golden straw pour with a medium white head. grassy hoppy aroma. light malt in the background. This is hop forward and dominant. Body is adequate. very bitter. VikingHammer (362), Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA Jul 14, 2007 Pours a murky orange brown with a tan head. Aroma of citrus hops. Big Hop taste with some citrus and toffee. Full mouth feel. Smooth nice finish. Great IPA. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Jul 13, 2007 Very delicious IPA... double IPA, whatever it is. Totally sweet, I lurrrve it. hopslovin (180), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jul 13, 2007 Pale yellow pour, thick white head. Very nice hoppy, grapefruit aroma. Mouthfeel is very good, syrupy and thick that fills the mouth with goodness. Taste is of citrus, hops, and floral flavors. Not bitter at all (not typical for style), sweet finish. Good beer. tunneler (112), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 10, 2007 A good strong IPA but not in the upper tier. Sweetness detracts a bit from the refreshing feel. Agree with the poster who called this one almost a baby barley wine.
