Commercial Description:
Malts: Crisp English Pale, Carapils, and Munich
Hops: Magnum, Centennial, Chinook, Amarillo and Palisade
Loose Cannon Hop3 Ale is a triple hopped IPA containing over 3 pounds of hops per barrel. Not for the faint of palate, it has an intensely floral, spicy, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor. Available year round

A good strong IPA but not in the upper tier. Sweetness detracts a bit from the refreshing feel. Agree with the poster who called this one almost a baby barley wine.

This breaks a streak of weak beers from this brewery. A hazy deep amber body under a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma is mostly greapefruit hoppiness with a bit of caramel and rye bread. Good body and gentle carbonation. Flavor is crisp and refreshing, mildly sweet citrus with a slightly bitter finish.

12oz bottle-thanks to Joe/jwc215 pours a retaining light tan foamy head and gold color. Aroma is nice citrusy/sweet grapefruit-hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is nice, bitter pine/citrusy/sweet grapefruit-hops, secondary medium malt. Raw, good for one. OK/mild carbonation.

Very nice. Lots of floral and sweet melody’s infused with a crisp, disint hoppyness. Not too bitter, and not too astrigent, it really hit the spot. Very chewy!

July 5, 2007; 12 oz. bottle. Golden IPA with good balance, despite a remarkably-sharp hop bite. Very good IPA, although rather dangerous as session-fare at 7.25% ABV.

[339-20070613] 12floz (c/o HogTownHarry, jerc). Citrus orange hops aroma has hints of floral. Hazy, orange amber body with a medium-lasting small white head. Tastes mostly like chewing on an orange peel with very light hints of bandaid. Medium body. Pretty nice hoppy beverage.

A really well balanced beer considering the complexity of ingredients and high ABV. Obviously a strong hop flavor but not to the extent that it overpowers some of the flowery/citrusy flavors. Really nice beer and one you will find yourself looking for once you get back from vacation (trust me) PS does anyone know where I can find this (or other clipper city brews) in the Kansas City area?
