[339-20070613] 12floz (c/o HogTownHarry, jerc). Citrus orange hops aroma has hints of floral. Hazy, orange amber body with a medium-lasting small white head. Tastes mostly like chewing on an orange peel with very light hints of bandaid. Medium body. Pretty nice hoppy beverage.

A really well balanced beer considering the complexity of ingredients and high ABV. Obviously a strong hop flavor but not to the extent that it overpowers some of the flowery/citrusy flavors. Really nice beer and one you will find yourself looking for once you get back from vacation (trust me) PS does anyone know where I can find this (or other clipper city brews) in the Kansas City area?

12 oz.bottle: Pours a clear copper color with a medium frothy off-white head that is mostly lasting leaving nice lacing. Floral aroma brings out some hints of grapefruit and spices. Well balanced hops in the citrusy, spicy flavor that finishes with a mild bitterness. Easy drinking and a nice surprise! Refreshing!

This is a pretty amazing beer. I’ve had it on tap and in bottles and it’s always delivered for anyone liking a hoppy, crispy IPA.

Bottle from the Heavy Seas Sampler. A very delicious IPA, lots of bitter hops with a great floral aroma. The aroma is fresh hops, almost piney, some citrus. The white head dissipated quickly into a fine layer, not much lacing. The mouth feel is lighter than you’d expect, probably due to the carbination. This beer goes down smooth considering the ABV and hoppy-ness. The alcohol is well hidden. Overall a very refreshing crisp beer, a pleasant experience.

Bottle courtesy of HogTownHarry. Orange-copper colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit and resin, mmmmm, hops! Big flavour, lots o’ hops with some brown sugar malt to balance. Not much to add, it’s just a solid, sessionable (despite the strength) IPA.
