JCB (1713), Durham, North Carolina, USA Mar 2, 2007 On draft at The Federal, Durham, NC. This is an inconsistent brew, in my opinion. I’ve had fine pints and I’ve had sloppy, syrupy ones (like this one). Basically a bigger-than-average IPA with a strong floral aroma and a healthy malt backbone, it’s tasting a bit icky on tap. Maybe it’s just this one location, and I have found this delicious before, so I’m giving this a decent score nonetheless. Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Mar 2, 2007 Thanks to Duane for the bottle! Pours a nice hazy orange. More subdued than expected, but very nice, was expecting a hop bomb, but it was very balanced. Some grapefruit, citrus, clean palate, not overpowering. Alcohol was very well hidden. I could drink two of these every few days, and be a happy camper, very nice. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Mar 1, 2007 Pours a very nice hazy gold with a thin and quickly diminishing light white head. Nice light hops and light citrus in the smell, but somewhat subtle. The taste is very hoppy as expected but not overpowering. Slight grapefruit hops detected in the finish. Pretty nice IPA. Blended very well, really smooth in the finish which is very nice. I really like this one and could drink it alot. joss (3630), Garching b. München, Germany Feb 26, 2007 Bottle. Amber, low head. Peach and nektarine hop aroma. Sweet perfumed and fairly fruity notes carry over into the flavor. Fairly light body, light sparkly mouthfeel. Orangepeel aftertaste. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Feb 24, 2007 Very good. Heavy on the hops. A must buy for hop heads. Very good job. Will try again and again. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2007 Orange amber body, small white head fades (3+). Ambiguous citrus and mild resin in aroma is understated but rich, very nice. Orangey citrus in the flavour is strong but not in your face hops. Second bottle is more lemon than orange, too its slight detriment in my opinion. (8+) Average to medium palate (3+). Alcohol is almost invisible - am surprised to see it listed as high as it is. This is a very drinkable IPA and still manages to have depth of character. Nice. Thanks for sharing Harry. Possible the best beer I have had in a while. benclarkiii (73), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Feb 22, 2007 Very nice IPA. I really like the hoppiness. Pretty smooth as well. I thought this was an interesting find for NC. BeerMeDude (28), USA Feb 20, 2007 Very hoppy but not overbearing, A little sweet and floral with a good IPA aftertaste. This is a nice brew.
