Commercial Description:
Malts: Crisp English Pale, Carapils, and Munich

Loose Cannon Hop3 Ale is a triple hopped IPA containing over 3 pounds of hops per barrel. Not for the faint of palate, it has an intensely floral, spicy, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor. Available year round

Average beer. Hops are there, just understated in the east coast fashion. I’m very interested in trying the Euro Lager these guys make, but first started with the IPA. I believe it’s time to overdo another style. Alcohol is slightly present at the 7% rate, but not how I would like.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with AtlAggie. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a large off-white head that lasted through mid-glass and laced the glass well. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit and pine. The flavor begins with a decent dose of malt, which is then washed over by grapefruit pith and bitter pine. While the bitterness from the hops is fairly strong, the flavor is weak. Bitter finish that thankfully does not linger. Probably not an IPA I’d look to revisit.

A great double ipa. Draft over in Naples. Pours a mostly clear reddish light brown. Long lasting light beige head with tons of lacing. Nose is huge grapefruit and tangerine with some spicy notes. Flavor is excellent for a regular IPA. Strong malt backbone but quite bitter. Great flavor hops with alot of citrus and pine. Not overly resiny. This is one of the better IPAs out there.

How the F have I not rated this. This rating had to have been lost when the site got hacked a few months back. Anyways, I picked up a sixer for my 4th of July outing tonight, so here goes. Firstly, my sixpack carrier notes the abv. at 7.0, not 7.25. Anyways, Pours a great clear copper with a tall lasting cream colored head. Aroma is all citrus (lemon and grapefruit) and resinous hops with a bit of a sticky malt backbone to balance it out. Very nice. Flavor is the same but with a bit more malt presence and a definite (but not overwhelming by any means) alcohol presence. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Overall: a beer just as beautiful as I remembered it. Good work CC!

clear bright gold with a tight knot fizzy head decent lacing, nose is more on the cut grass, spicey herbal side. Light bodied for the abv and taste, not sweet at all. Very sessionable - in terms of comparisons (sorry my lack of eloquence leads me to this literary device too often) the Smuttynose IPA comes to mind.

Pours a nice orange, slight cloudiness. Nose of flowers, citrus, and hops. Taste is right in my comfort zone for IPA’s, sweet, but bitter, very present hop notes, finish is citrusy, lasting bitterness. Overall impressed with this IPA, definitely will enjoy again. Nice execution, balanced, and flavorful.

On tap at Shellhammers in Newark, DE. Nice orange color slightly cloudy but the head was a bit weak. Strong aroma of citrus hops. Flavor is also nicely hopped, grapefruit bitterness and a nice lingering finish. I think this one earned a spot in the regular IPA rotation.
