| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 4, 2006 Updated: Dec 10, 200912oz. Bottle: Smells hoppy. Floral, spruce, citrus scents topped of with Amarillo hops. Poured a amber color. Large, frothy, rocky slightly off-white head. Clear. Looks thin and oily though. Slight floral hop flavor. Flavor is very weak, and does not have much complexity to it. Just citrus and some spice from the Amarillo. Slightly sweet. Slightly bitter. Light bodied. Flat carbonation. Almost no finish. Beer does not live up to its scent. Overall, it’s thin and flavor is weak, so it’s a mediocre but drinkable IPA.
Cask at TJ’s on 12/5/09: Hoppy aroma. Amber in color. Bitter, hoppy flavor. IrishBoy (2722), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2006 Cask at Long Island Real Ale Festival - clear golden with a slight cooper tint - very fresh hops in the aroma, as well as in the flavor - a decent amount of malt to back up the intense hop taste - a solid IPA, but nothing to write home about. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 27, 2007 The aroma is for hop heads and I like that. It’s got both pine and citrus elements as well as plenty of caramel malt. The appearance is orange gold with a smaller head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a good IPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Pours a clear orangey amber with a light tan head. It leaves some lacing, not much. It’s a very aromatic IPA. Full of grapefruit resiny hops and a light sweet background. The flavor is full too. Big citric hop slap upfront which meshes well with the caramel malt middle. It’s slightly sticky. The finish is long and has a resiny grapfruit bitterness. A quality IPA. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Government-issue AIPA aroma -- malt, pine, cat urine hops. Gold brew, fun label, big head. Boring, briny, vacant and then there’s a mild hop spike. Chemical and cat urine flavors. Medium body. Disappointing. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
