Nice slice of grapefruit sprinkled with sugar aroma and surrounded with additional herbal/floral hops - very strong hop presence. Taste was smooth and almost thick with the taste of clover honey and some caramel, followed by an assertive hop that finishes with a thick resin coating on the tongue. Will most likely drink more of this one.

Bottle: Golden, fairly clear, moderate white foamy head, quite nice lacing, soft carbonation.   Resiny nose, seems oily, slight pine.   Fairly bitter start, surprisingly quite malty, a touch grainy, finishing with a touch of sweetness.   Oddly enough, this 7.5% double IPA seems more like a regular Pacific Northwest IPA.   Quite good, but not as thick in mouthfeel or as big in ABV as I would have thought.   I think I expect too much from my IPA and IIPA brews.   Love the label tho.   Thanks Larry!

Clipper City’s "big beers" always seem much smaller in person. Pours a clear amber with a beautiful grapefruit and apricot nose from the hops. The flavor is thinner than expected but very drinkable. This makes great apa, but you wouldn’t guess it was supposed to be an IIPA. At least the actual product here is a really good beer as opposed to that lousy "imperial stout" they make.

Pours with an amber orange body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and hoppy with s strong floral note and a hint of honey. Light to medium bodied, slightly dry and smooth.

Bottle from WFM Charlottesville. Good God is that a strong hop aroma. Also some sweetness in the aroma. Faint sweetness in the taste juxtaposed with a straightforward but not overpowering hop profile.

[12oz Bottle - Thanks The Beer God] Dark golden color with a nice white head. This had tons of hop aroma with a great flavor. This was a great IPA. The hops used where to PNW standard and great. A great beer to drink. AWESOME.

A nice IPA, very great for the price. The pour was typical for the style, standard foamy head with some foamy lacing. The aroma was all grapefruits, man I love that in my IPAs. The flavor was grapefruit and citrus up front with a piney hop finish. The hops in this one were prominent, but not overdone, and supported by a sweet malty base. Alcohol hardly noticeable and the mouthfeel was thin for the style. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a medium amber color ale with a nice foamy head with slightly better then average retention. Aroma consists of medium bitter hops with some very subtle citrus flavour. Taste is a mix between some caramel malt with some medium bitter and citrus hops. Body is about average with some medium carbonation. I was expecting a hop bomb based on the description of the beer which mentions triple hops IPA and it seems I got a light IPA.
