Bottle. Pours a bright hazy orange body with a small white creamy head. Lots of orange and citrus aroma accompanied by some sweet biscuit malt and apricot. Juicy flavour with nice hop resin but not overly bitter. Some fruitiness is present too in the form of apricot and pineapple. Not bad, but a bit sweet for my tastes.

On tap at Andys Corner Bar. Reddish copper in color with a off white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Hoppy malty aroma. Grapefruity, citrusy caramel notes. Malty hoppy flavor. Earthy caramel flavor. Sweet tasting. Dry bitter finish. Decent. Drinkable.

copper color and a quickly diminishing small white greenish head. floral hop and grape gum aroma. very crisp and clean palate. hoppy but not overly bitter. a grainy and spicy kick in the finish. not so much citrusy as it has a flowery hop character. nice.

Dull orange. White ring of very buoyant bubbles. Fairly bright nose of grapefruit, crushed aspirin, and pinesap. Soft honeysuckle, woody hop, and toasted malt whispers. Clean and airy. Loose, bubbly carbonation. Big, tacky body. Early thrust of resin contributes substantial weight, though the lusciousness succumbs to a significant amount of airiness. Supple mango squelches much of the acidity, though bits of harsh aspirin remain. Bitterness is rather unsubstantial, unfortunately, which makes this less than captivating. And it’s not like it possesses an inordinately high level of brightness to make up for it. Extremely nimble malt structure fails to soften any of the harsh aspirin notes or hard carbonic residue. Finishes faintly husky, with nectarine and pulpy blood-orange flavors laced with an abundance of oily citrus lupulins which coat and numb the palate long after the swallow. Amarillo is likely the culprit for all the aspirin notes, but at least they’ve kept them to a minimum. Okay.

A very nice IPA! It combines a nice med-light body and refreshing drinkability with a full hop blast. Primarily the hops seem resiny, with some citrus in there somewhere. Some bready malts. Flavor is intensely resiny and tingly. Medium bitter finish, clean caramelly malts. Nothing amazing here, just a good hoppy ale. Appealing amber color with fluffy head.

Pours a nice transparant medium / dark orange color, lively carbonation, nice head that goes down gradually. Initial smell is hops hops hops - very floral. Taste is mostly hops as expected - in addition to the floral aspect that was in the aroma are piney flavors and grapefruit. The citrus is the main aspect of the finish - the kind of finish you’ll still taste in the morning. Some malt is in here, but it is in the background. Not heavy at all and very easy to drink for the amount of hops and ABV involved. Taste remains fairly consistant from start to finish. This is my favorite of the Heavy Seas line. I look forward to enjoying more of this one.

bottle - Pours clear copper with a thin head. There’s lots of citrus hops in the aroma and it’s very nice. There’s also a good, intense citrus hops dominated flavor backed by some pretty well balanced caramel malt. This medium bodied beer ends in a long, pleasantly bitter finish. Very fine IPA.

Aroma of spruce or pine. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance. Taste is heavy medicianl hops, but less of a preservative feel than most IPA. Feels like I’m chewing on green grapefruit rinds. Decent mild carbonation. Bitter lingering finish, good example of this rotten style. Somebody bought this for me, I normally would not buy an IPA myself.
