12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a 2 finger off white head that dissipates quickly. Nose of grapefruit peel, pine and a touch of herbal funk. Flavor is citrusy with a nice balance of malt and hops, a damn good IPA.

A hazy orange pour with a decent off white head that goes pretty quick but a little of the lacing hangs around for a while. If you like a hop aroma bury your face in this baby and breath deep. I could taste them through my sinus cavity. A flavor of orange peels, barely a hint of malt, and hops in the flavor. Smooth easy palate that is just a tiny bit weak at the end. A good good beer I wish I could get here.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with AtlAggie. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a large off-white head that lasted through mid-glass and laced the glass well. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit and pine. The flavor begins with a decent dose of malt, which is then washed over by grapefruit pith and bitter pine. While the bitterness from the hops is fairly strong, the flavor is weak. Bitter finish that thankfully does not linger. Probably not an IPA I’d look to revisit.

12 oz bottle from Crown Liquors. Lightly hazy light amber/orange in color with a medium off white head. Aroma: bright citrus and flowers up front- with some light pale malt and biscuity malts in the background. Taste is light sweet with alot of citrus, flowers, light resin, with a moderate pale malt sweetness in the background. Hop character is moderately assertive, and this is very well balanced overall. Finishes with a smooth bitterness and lingering light pine resin. A pretty solid IPA.

bottle-pours bright orange with a 1/2 inch soapy off-white head and some whispy lacing. huge floral flowery hoppy nose-lemon, tangerine, passonfruit, with tons of juicy sweetness. big pineapple and citrus flavors here-lemon emerges after the swallow. for some reason, this beer reminds me of hop wallop with its dry malt tone to it. a good ipa, but not superb.

Draft @ Hard Times Cafe - College Park. Bottles coming in 3 weeks. Medium coppery gold, creamy custard white head (great lacing). The nose was very hop friendly with loads of fresh white grapefruit, touches of earth and florals, hints of pineapple, with a light nutty caramel tone layered just below the surface. Upfront, fresh hop flavors (grapefruit and soft pineapple) dominate without a major bite, some light earthy tones play out in the middle, and a light sweet caramel malt bring it all together extremely well. Medium bodied, pillow soft carbonation, drying bittersweet finish. This may be the best beer of the Heavy Seas line so far. A great everyday IPA that Clipper should be proud of...

Thanks to kmweaver for sending this for free! Clear amber, fairly large head, decent lacing. Aroma is a blast of hops... tons of grapefruit and other tropical fruits with citrus notes. The bitterness dances on the tongue with a slightly syrupy body. Even now with the beer long gone the flavor is lingering. I love it. Very one dimensional, but very good. Damn I wish this was a local beer.
