Citrusy, grapefruit hop aroma. Nice. Flavor is pretty much all juicy citrusy hops. Slightly dry at first but then a bit sweeter on subsequent sips. Quite a nice IPA and very drinkable. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Transparent and magnifying with a pale brass color and a thin, sudsy, creamy white tinted head. Aroma is promising. Sweet sugared grapefruit laden with amarillo and chinook, honey comb, pine combs, spruce needles, grass stains and melted margarine. Crispness meets passion fruit in the flavor. Papaya, kiwi and mango meander to a tropical bubblegum motif. Grapefruit and strawberries chime in with starfruit. Interesting. Slightest hint of astringency stems from light citric orange connotations. Tantalizing and spritsy on the palate with touches of grain filled palate coatings. Alive and buoyant, and fairly well-balanced despite the eerie sweetness. Finish brings us full circle with strawberry kiwi and sugar sprinkled hop leafs. Thanks for the bottle, JPDIPSO! Aroma is a blast of hops... tons of grapefruit and other tropical fruits with citrus notes. The bitterness dances on the tongue with a slightly syrupy body. Even now with the beer long gone the flavor is lingering. I love it. Very one dimensional, but very good. Damn I wish this was a local beer. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2006 A heavy herbal and grapefruit aroma. Held up to the rooster lamp’s ass, it reveals an orange apperance. A bitter flavor with some lemon and grapefruit. A rather spicy finish to the beer. Pretty good stuff swoopjones (1920), Buffalo, New York, USA

Grapefruity & hops blens well. I like a little more hop presence but depending on the situation this beer could be great. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2006 Nice clear orange pour that shines in the light with a lasting nicotine stain looking pocked white head. Yep, there are hops in this. Grass? Yep. Pine? Yep. Citrus? Yep. The orange and cut grass nose is dominant here. Very inviting. Roasted hop flavor that is a bit rough. A sweetness exists here but it is overpowered and shoved to the back by the woody hop flavor that runs a bit off to the point of having an iced tea flavor. A heavy handed IPA but not really bad.
