Succulent spring creosote bush, cactus flowers, and maple sap. Floral, spice and citrus amalgamate. Pours a pale orange, with a wonderful off-white soap that builds and stay. Lacing the glass slowly. Flavor is complementary. A rather robust malt and sugar profile hold up a hop flavor that stays in a spice note, but develops some metallic character. Chewy. Not overly sweet. Smacks in pear flesh. Grassy and dry in the back end. A middle amount of creaminess comes from the body of the beer. I could use just an edge more hop flavor from the initial presentation. Alcohols add complexity and appreciated warmth. In total, there is something about the combined effect of the beer that is dusty and dull. A papery dryness in the roof of my mouth that prevents the sugars from seeming clear and pure and the hops from maintaining quality. Otherwise, this is a mostly delightful IPA. I like my hops to slap me in the face and call me nanny. These hops push me around a bit and then apologize. The hoppy aroma seemed stronger than the hop taste. Not the tops on my list but I would buy again. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is nice fresh floral hops with lots of citrus. Flavor is also excellent. Very sugary snd sweet but does not get in the way. Hops are a presence leaving and nice citrus-fruityness on the tounge. Very well done IPA. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2006 12 oz bottle with a huge thanks to slob for the gift pack containing this hop bomb! Pours clear amber with fast diminishing moderate off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Very aromatic dominated of course by citric hops, grapefruit and some pine, a little earthiness and hints of malt. Flavor is again dominated by hops, orange, grapefruit and spicy herbal notes, malt character is noticible by overpowered by the tart and bitter flavors. This is a hop lovers dream, deliciously puckering and citrusy, with a bit of fresh fruit sweetness and vanila as well. Medium body and creamy/foamy carbonaton. Mouth tingling good. Loads of mandarin oranges (YUMMY!), pineapple, a hint of pine and a nic caramel malts backbone. Slightly hazy bright orange. Wow, nice smooth flavor. Medium bodied. Bit of malts for body and a nice hops balance. More citrus and a bit of spicy hops late swallow. Very easy drinking. LIngering hoppy bitterness at the finish. A great, balanced IPA and one that could become a staple brew at my home. thornecb (1801), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

A hazy deep amber body under a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma is mostly greapefruit hoppiness with a bit of caramel and rye bread. Good body and gentle carbonation. Flavor is crisp and refreshing, mildly sweet citrus with a slightly bitter finish.
