On tap in a shaker. Nice gold color. Grapefruit aromas and flavors. Tingly palate with strong bitter finish.

Now this is how a IPA should be made, malty and hoppy but not astringent hoppy. the hops are floral, grassy and slightly piney. the rest is smooth with lots of malt. A real winner!

Ruby/copper body, creamy white head. Nose is cotton candy/bubblegum, some caramel, dark fruit, a smide of alcohol. Flavor is sweet caramel, I can’t place the hops - herbal, tea, bitter finish. Meh.

On draft at The Federal, Durham, NC. This is an inconsistent brew, in my opinion. I’ve had fine pints and I’ve had sloppy, syrupy ones (like this one). Basically a bigger-than-average IPA with a strong floral aroma and a healthy malt backbone, it’s tasting a bit icky on tap. Maybe it’s just this one location, and I have found this delicious before, so I’m giving this a decent score nonetheless.

Pours pale with a medium white head that fades to a cover. The aroma is citrus and caramel. The flavor is very well balanced with plenty of residual sweetness to go with the high hopping rate. Medium body, smooth texture. At $7.95 a six pack, this is one of the better buys around.

Pours copper orange with a biege head. Everything just seems very bland. No nose to speak of. Tastes like a week pale ale. It don’t taste bad. I don’t taste like an IPA.

12oz bottle. Clear and golden ruby hue. Spotty white head. Floral hop nose. Smooth sweet body. Good bitter finish. Nice mild toffee and caramel malt flavor. Crisp hop finish.

Light golden orange, creamy off white foam. Spicy herbal, pine hop aroma. Taste is light crystal bite, then a nice hop bitterness, spicy, pine.
