Bottle. Pours clear gold with a half finger off-white head that leaves decent lacing. The nose is caramel malt, floral and citrus hops. The taste is toffee, sweet citrus and mild tart citrus in the finish. Medium bodied. A little sweet but decent.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a notched best before along the left side of the front label, Aug/06. Made a good appearance, poured a slightly hazy reddish amber hued golden with a foamy head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, small amount of sticking, good carbonation. Had a nose of floral, light spice and orange citric hops with a sweet maltiness at the edges. A semi-crisp, softly textured and creamy smooth lightish medium bodied mouthfeel, good drinkability. Good balance between the hops and malts in the taste, dry flowery, spicy and orange flavored hops, soft and rolling in it’s bitterness, balanced by a sweet maltiness, caramelized sugary, the alcohol is well masked and a dryish, sweet finish with the hops lingering a bit in the palate. I’m not sure if I would call this a D/IPA, but it is very quaffable at a affordable price.

Thanks to Duane for the bottle! Pours a nice hazy orange. More subdued than expected, but very nice, was expecting a hop bomb, but it was very balanced. Some grapefruit, citrus, clean palate, not overpowering. Alcohol was very well hidden. I could drink two of these every few days, and be a happy camper, very nice.

My bottle says 7.25% ABV. Pours light amber with a wispy off-white, mostly receding head. Aroma of fruity hops: notes of mango, melon, and pineapples. Taste is well hopped, plenty of C hops mixed in with the delicious mangoey Amarillo. Somewhat sweetish, toffee and caramel, decent amount of residual sugars. Mouthfeel is full bodied and resinous with lively carbonation. Quite enjoyable, a top-notch IPA. Might need some time for the yeasties to round off the edges.

Excellent beer to have as #1300, great IPA, very enjoyable, deep copper color with a nice & soft off-white head, very floral nose with lots of hops & spices, full-bodied, smooth & dangerously drinkable, lots of hops in the flavors but balanced very nicely with a strong malty backbone, subtle notes of peach & grapefruit, lots of dry citrusy notes in the finish, a little bit of alcohol in the aftertaste as well, can’t wait to enjoy another one, and hopefully another 1300!

Aromas are fairly crisp of hops and a bit of a sweet caramel/toffee background with a bit of apple juice type fruit. Appearance is a dark orange/amber with a pretty substantial foamy head that has a slightly yellow haze to it. Flavor is quite different that a lot of US IPA’s in that it is grain heavy up front and the heavy hopping develops just a hair later. Very nice and a little different in the hop flavoring as well.

BB jan/08. pours orange/amber with a off white head. aroma is all hops with grapefruit, caramel malt and pine thrown in. flavor reminds me of carrot cake....spices, grapefruit/orange, grass and some piney alcohol. leaves a very perfumey grapefruit aftertaste. medium body and carbonation.

Lively golden yellow-orange with a thin white head. Aroma hops – floral, citrus and herbal with some sweet malt mixed in. Hoppy taste of floral and citrus hops and some of the malt comes through. Lively carb feel with a medium bitter finish. Tastes a little vegetal as it warms.
