Very sharp, pungent piney hop aroma; Amarillo and Simcoe perhaps. Similar flavor to that of DFH 90 Minute IPA. Taste has slight caramel/toastyness but mainly pale malt to showcase the hops. Pleasantly sweet, not nearly as bitter as you would expect, in fact it’s only moderately bitter. It appears that there was a ton of flavor and aroma hopping done on the back end - has a very strong pine, citrusy and grapefruit presence. The body has recently improved; very full, round and creamy with the perfect level of carbonation. Good head retention. Overall, very very nicely done. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit hops, also some light sweet fruits. Flavor is quite fruity- lots of citrus, some mango and other tropical fruits. Nice hop bite in the finish with a grassy/garlic hops note. Palate is a little weak, but overall this is a nice IPA. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

Pours a clear glowing orange amber with a nice medium dense frothy light beige creamy head. Great hop aroma, can smell it 2 feet away as I type, mmmm like sticking my nose into a hop bag, some hop spiciness, C-hops, resiny, light citrus, light peach, love the perfectly balanced lighter sweet caramel base. First taste is straight floral and citrus hops, super juicy and peachy, followed by resin and then finishing with more of the ultra bright and sweet tropical fruit, caramel syrup?, this is a syrupy sticky flavor but still light on the tongue. Medium bodied, weird syrupiness but feels lighter in the mouth, hard candy like sweetness but again a weird mix of syrupy and fluffy. Different. Strykzone (1478), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2006 First taste I found here was bitter hops. The bitterness never left but some malts soon became evident. Typically IPAs are quite sour tasting but this one was not. The malts gave it a sweetness which I found appealing. IPAs are not my favorite style of beer but this one was exceptional. RCL (1478), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
