Flavor juicy, sweet and fruity with tropical hop notes, bitterness from the grassier hops. Body could be stronger, just doesn’t quite coat the tongue with either the malts or hops. Still, nice. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Light citrusy hop aroma, taste is intense hop and msweet malt backing, but with a somewhat light body, making it about the best combination of big full hop malt taste, and lighter ,I can drink 3-4 of these in a night flavor.Probaly a top tener in the style DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Pour of clear rusted orange color. Nose of wheat crackers, dryer sheets, old grapefruit juice. A bit of alcoholic pungency. Oak. Tastes of brown sugar dusted on oranges, perfume, lemonade, sugary stickiness. Very warm and bitter. Peppery at the finish. Certainly not fresh. Grassy and dirty palate. Very subdued carbonation, which isn’t suitable. Enough to satisfy, barely. Thanks, Steve! Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Pours a clear amber color with a thick white head. Lovely fresh citrusy aroma that gets repeated heavily in the flavor. Lots and lots of hops. Man this stuff is hoppy. This is a good beer for people that like hops because this is a hoppy beer with hops in it. nickd717 (1376), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2009 12oz bottle from Chevy Chase in DC. Described as a "pounder" on the label, but I didn’t pound it. Pours a clear copper color with a nice white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is not as intense as I’d like but good. Sweet malt along with citrus and pine hops. Flavor is great - mildly sweet pale malt and caramel with a nice punch of bitter citrus and piney hops, along with mild resin. Palate is pretty rough, almost like sucking on a fresh hop cone. Medium body with lingering hop bitterness. Surprisingly good IPA. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

Nice amber body, great lacing from the head. Wow, sweet, juicy, like a great fresh glass of ruby red grapefruit. This is an excellent IPA, thanks go out to OHIODAD, this is one I may have passed over myself.
