Flavor is decently hoppy but decidedly thin on the malt. Mouthfeel is thinish, but not annoyingly so. I’m thinking this beer is like that girl you lust after for years and then finally get her, only to find out she kind of has bad breath. j12601 (1355), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

On tap for growler fills at Half-Time. Pours a clear golden amber with a medium thick white head. Big citrus and fresh pine. Medium bodied and crisp with a light sweetness. Large grapefruit bitter finish. Tasty.

Nice amber body, great lacing from the head. Wow, sweet, juicy, like a great fresh glass of ruby red grapefruit. This is an excellent IPA, thanks go out to OHIODAD, this is one I may have passed over myself. JohnnyJ (1352), Carlsbad, California, USA

Notes here and far closer to frontal labotomy than bottle in front of me which makes me quite sad as I enjoyed this one a lot. Have had mixed experience with Clipper City and glad to have a couple that surpassed the previous lot. This one in particular was very well balanced which, having as much bitterness as it does is saying this is a job well done. Here’s to more in this vein. kwoeltje (1333), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Rich citrus and grass aroma with some pine. Flavor is similar - complex hops flavors and nice bitter finish. Lovely cask conditioned ale. BelgianBeerGal (1322), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Bottled. Pours out a clear bronze colour with a small, foamy, off-white head. Nice hop aroma with a hint of alcohol oddly enough. Clean scent if that makes any sense. Flavour definitely has the hops up front but then also some bubble gum and sweetness in the finish. Proabably an above average IPA overall. radagast83 (1317), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
