Draft: Buttery aroma. Amber color, thin head, good lacing. Orange peel taste, not complex. Nice hop finish. Sticky mouthfeel.

Had this at a wings place at MB. Very well disguised alcohol on this one. This one started very malty with the standard grapefruit/pine aroma. Nice balance to it coming from the malt, and never guessed the booze factor. Liked it and I enjoy IPA’s.

Bottle. Pours a clear light copper with a small off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of floral, spicy, and citrus hops with a nice sweet malt background and notes of light fruit. Taste is same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a solid but less than expected hop bitterness. A very good IPA with tons of hop flavor and aroma.

Clear orange/amber with a medium head. Aroma of big citrus with an underlying sweet malt in the background. Taste is grapefruit, hop oil and caramel. Medium body. Good lacing. Oily texture. Bitter and slightly metallic aftertaste.

What a surprise. Poured nice golden color with nice head. Aroma was of strong grapefruits, and a little sweetness. Flavor was grapefruits and pine hops. Had some sweetness in the finish. Little thin but very good.

Red orange copper with nice head. Very floral bitter dry smell. Sharp rind bitterness in the flavor. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth and is enjoyable. Drinkable.

Rated 10/15/06: Well done by Clipper City, this is a thoroughly enjoyable IPA. Hoppy aroma of pine and grapefruit not as powerful as it should be compared to the flavor. Great pour rich deep copper color, a swirl of the yeast on the bottom makes it denser. Huge puffy head and sticky sweet lacing, one of the best looking IPA’s I’ve poured. Easy on the palate this is extremely drinkable and the finish is clean with an aftertaste that quickly fades. Well hopped flavor, medium malt presence that is well balanced for this style. Similar to the other great IPA’s I’ve had, but this one is easier going down yet powerful with a well masked alcohol content. Very good drink.
