| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Dark golden color with a tall lasting light cream colored head. Huge hops aromas with citrus and pine, along with a touch of sweet sour kraut and resin. Perhaps too may hops can create really funky nose. Perfumy hops flavors start at the tip of the tongue and fade slowly across the palate. A very light malt middle and rather dry finish. Almost comes across a touch watery as it does not have much malt depth to back up the hops. A hopshead type brew. BückDich (4847), McCall, Idaho, USA

Copper color, white head, nice lacing. Nose of musky hops, rich pungent earthy citrusy resinous hops. Simcoe?!! The flavor is ’catty’, nice bitterness and pleasant underlying malt sweetness. Finishes toasty and sweet and fruity. Good IPA, full of life. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 29, 2006 On draught at RFD, RBSG, July 2006 and, later, bottled in August 2006. Orange/amber colour. Loads of leafy, nettley, resinous hop character in the aroma. More of the same, but slightly less pronounced, on the palate. Not too harsh or crude. Plenty of flavour, if maybe a little sweet. Very nice.

Heavy hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Moderate hoppy bitter flavor with an average finish. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 15, 2005 Bottle from the Beer Yard. This beer is as good as any of the Sly Fox varietals that I have had, which is to say that it is outstanding. It dishes out hops and takes names. The pour is copper/dark straw with a 2-finger off-white head. The aroma is hugely piney hoppy, with some spicy esters, black pepper, grapefruit, and canteloupe. The flavor is very hoppy, with a well balanced malt component. I noted the same flavors as Dreadnaught, only not quite as intense. Dense, complex mouthfeel. This one is like the younger brother of Dreadnaught, and is just outstanding. Clipper City has done it again. Seek this out, and do it today. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Grassy, grapefruit, herbal hop nose with some underlying caramel malt sweetness. Hazy pale copper coloured body is topped by a low, white head that diminishes to partial cover with some lace. Grapefruit, grassy, herbal hops over clean, fresh malt base. Light medium body with lively, pointy carbonation. Sampled at Kennett Square Brewfest. 2005. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2006 This poured with a medium orange body and a slightly khaki head. The aroma has some light grapefruit and a bit of almonds. There is also some decent bread crust. The taste has some fairly surprising gapefruit and some hitns of toffee. There is also some tree bark in the finish. The mouthfeel is thin and slick. The alcohol is well hidden in this one. This is a very solid IPA. BBB63 (4229), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2005 Bottle, thanks to Aaron for giving me this, served in my GL snifter:
Pours a nice dark golden hue iwth an initial large fizzy head that settled to a small ring and produced okay lace. The aroma has a big nose of piney, citric, peppery, and floral hops with some notes of bready and pils malting. The taste wasn’t has astrengent and piney has I would have thought, very balanced and fresh tasting. The Munich malt seems to work nicely here. Interesting that it goes back and forth between grapefruit and pineapple citric tones. An equally good peppery aftertaste lingers well past the last sip. The mouthfeel is brisk and lively, I would have liked to see it with a touch more body though. A well crafted brew indeed.
