Clear golden color with minimal off white head. Aroma of hops and grapefruit with a grapefruit and bitter taste. Very good IPA.

Poured from a 12oz bottle (best by June 09) and served in a shaker. This IPA poured a mostly clear amber with a thin, quickly fading head of beige foam. OK lacing. The aroma was full of citrus. Lots of orange and grapefruit. Also some chewy caramel. The flavor had a sweet, citrus bitterness. Tangerine and grapefruit rind were followed by soft caramel. The mouthfeel was medium to full-bodied and slightly resiny. Lighty carbonated. A decent IPA with a clean bitterness. Quaffable.

Ode’ to Paul! Fresh hoppy aroma with a deep camel colored body. Caramel malt and fresh hop flavors (citrus, orange peel and pine) – fairly balanced. Finish is bitter. … Have fun in Costa Rica, buddy!!

Bottle - Pours a hazy darkish amber in color with a small white head that faded, ut provided some small lacing on the glass. Aroma is strong of floral and citrus hops. Flavor is quite hoppy with flowery, citrus and pine hopiness coming through. Plenty of malt to provide a nice balance. Finish is slightly "soapy" (Hops!) and medium bitter. Not quite the "hop monster" that I was expecting, but good none-the-less...

Poured a golden yellow with almost no head from the bottle. Very interesting hop aroma, fruity, piney and sweet. The hop complexity in the initial flavor is astounding. This beer hits all areas of your palate. It’s sweet, it’s a little sour, there’s a hint of malt. The hop flavor is really unique, must be from the Chinook hops. Flavor hides the heavier than usual alcohol as well. A little astringent on the finish, but the complexity of this beer and the different hop profiles it provides make this worth a sip.

Light citrus and floral hops with some malts mixed in. Cloudy orange color with a small white head. Moderate amount of lacing. Moderate hops in the beginning finishing with mostly malt flavor. Creamy palate.

BOTTLE. Very pretty orangey-amber in color with a nice off-white head. Looks clean and crisp. I hate to reuse a word the brewer used, but the aroma is INTENSE. Lovely flowers, some fruitiness (citrus, mango, and passionfruit almost). Oh my god, it smells so good that I don’t even need to taste it (who am I kidding?). Holy cow, that flavor is amazing as well... it sure doesn’t get much better than this in an IPA for me (I only wish I had a sample of my favorite IPA by Southern Tier to compare this beast to). Anyway, a sip... lotsa flavors worked in there. Heavy sweetish hoppiness- starts with an island fruit flavor, followed by bitterness of grapefruits, followed by a nice pine... aftertaste intertwines the grapefruit and pine. This is near perfect, in my opinion.

Despite an aggressive pour, just a bit of white film atop this orange-gold brew. Aroma of oranges and green hops. Flavor is quite hoppy, with some orange zest and pine, rolling through a bitter finish and lasting aftertaste. A bit thin, but just lively and dry enough to avoid being watery. Definitely refreshing for 7.5 abv, which is hidden. Mmmm, hops. Tastes like America.
