Jun 24, 2007 This is a pretty amazing beer. I’ve had it on tap and in bottles and it’s always delivered for anyone liking a hoppy, crispy IPA.

May 2, 2007 It’s not a super crazy bitter bear, but its bitter, has a great hoppy flavor. I’d suggest buying it.

Nov 6, 2009 Nice golden brown color. Aroma is of hops, hops, and more hops! Taste is of big time hops. Has a nice hoppy bite with a little citrus aftertaste. Good stuff.

Oct 9, 2007 Nice brew. You can tell it’s triple hopped. The aroma of citrus right at opening. Taste is brisk with a citrus bitter finish.

Apr 14, 2009 On tap at Coasters. Huge hop aroma of pineapple and grapefruit. Pours a light orange typical of the IPA style. Flavor is of light grapefruit with a hint of roses. Palate is sticky for an IPA but I’m not complaining. Overall a very good IPA.

Nov 23, 2007 Updated: Feb 8, 2008This brass-colored brew has a sweet, tangy, hoppy aroma. A solid malt base with pleasant, complex hops. It is forceful, but not harsh, with a mildly bitter aftertaste. This has just the right amount of floral sweetness all the way thru. It is definitely a superior hoppy ale - anchors away!

Mar 9, 2009 12oz bottle. Dark gold/light amber with a small, creamy head that laces somewhat. The aroma is like sticking your nose over a bowl of tropical/citrus fruit salad. I was getting tangerines, blood oranges, guavas, watermelon, lime, papaya and light pine. The flavor is medium sweet with a medium bitterness that lingers in the finish. The fruit onslaught translates into the flavor, and the alcohol is virtually hidden. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and tight carbonation. Very drinkable stuff, with an amazingly fruity aroma.

Sep 7, 2007 12 oz bottle. First thing I do when beer-loving friends and relatives swing through the Balmer-DC area to say "Hi": I pour ’em a local brew. And this is invariably the first one I grab. I think it’s the best thing brewed in Baltimore...or DC...or Annapolis...or all of Maryland and Virginia combined. A hophead’s dream: big in your face showcase of what a great East Coast IPA is all about. And you can always see it in their face after the first swallow: a huge floral/citrus hop BAM!!!! But that’s not all: there is body, decent ABV, nice maltiness, super head retention, nose out the ying-yang, and a nice neat finish. Very drinkable. Kirk like. Come visit me sometime!
