Amber with a nice head that slowly faded away. Grapefruit, citrus and pine needles in the aroma. More of the same in the flavor with a sweet maltiness coming through for some nice balance. Lingering finish is very well balanced as well. Very nice.

Golden straw pour with a medium white head. Nice grassy-spicy hoppy aroma. That’s it, that’s the dominant aroma…hops! Spicy, hoppy taste too (surprise). VERY light malt in the background. Spicy alcohol greats you at the finish. This is hop forward and dominant. Body is adequate. Not bad, but very bitter.

It is possible that I rated the wrong beer in this catagory before. I’ve had this a couple of times since this old rating and I just don’t understand it (a bad bottle perhaps). I increased points on the aroma as I thought you could smell the delicious grapefruit and oragne aroma across the room. Notes on the taste included a solid malt presence with caramel and roasted grain/buscuit. Ruby red grapefruit hops frits followed by passion fruit and orange. 2 more points there. And up on for the palate. All and all, something I enjoy.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear amber-gold with a large lasting rocky white head. Nice aroma of floral hops, fruit (peaches, mango and more), malt, pepper and more spices. Flavour’s nicely balanced: big citrus hops, caramel malt and spices -- very tasty stuff. Medium bodied. An interesting take on an IPA -- very good!

Pours a translucent orange amber with a medium bubbly off white head that left some lacing but diminished fairly quickly. Aroma was very nice. A very fresh hop aroma of oranges, floral, caramel and a light spiciness. Aroma actualy reminded me a slightly stepped down Nugget Nectar. Flavor was also solid with a light bitterness up front that is quickly balanced out with the malts. Picking up more pine and grapefruit in the flavor. ABV very well hidden. Happily impressed with this IPA.

Clear amber, small off white head. Flavor and aroma of pungent, floral, spicy hops on top of soft caramel malt. Medium/full, slightly syrupy palate. If you’re looking for a good dose of hops, you can’t go wrong with this one.

copper color and a quickly diminishing small white greenish head. floral hop and grape gum aroma. very crisp and clean palate. hoppy but not overly bitter. a grainy and spicy kick in the finish. not so much citrusy as it has a flowery hop character. nice.

Bottle. Pours a lighter orangey amber with a big fruit nose mixed with some pine. Flavor is more fruit and citrus with a sprinkling of the sweet mix together in a very nice, well balanced brew. This was a winner IPA for those who like flavor, balance and not just a hop tsnami.

What a surprise. Poured nice golden color with nice head. Aroma was of strong grapefruits, and a little sweetness. Flavor was grapefruits and pine hops. Had some sweetness in the finish. Little thin but very good.
