It has a hint of caramel. You notice the alcohol, but it doesn’t distract from the flavor. lsymms (3), USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Home keg. Over a month of sampling with lots of enthusiats enjoying it. Perfect balance. Puts most other double IPS to shame. Certianly the best in it’s price range. Incredibly drinkable. On first taste I couldn’t believe it was 7.5%. Great amber color. Thin citrusy aroma. Head dissapeard quickly with little lacing. Quick hop bite with grapefruit undertones. Excellent finish. Not too malty. Could drink them all day (and I did). Very likable. In my top 5 for sure. Lighter body and color. Citris tones, like that of Cascade hops. I really enjoyed this beer! JesseM (674), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Pours a nice deep golden with an orange tinge to it, and a medium white head. Aroma is perfect, sublte yet incredibly forward, floral and piney hopness, great stuff. Flavour is delicious! Perfect bitterness and hop character, and delicate sweetness from the solid caramel malt body. This stuff is awesome! Aftertaste is a perfectly balanced blend of the whole package. This is the best balanced IPA I’ve ever had. Awesome stuff. My favourite IPA I’ve had so far, maybe because I have a thing for Munich malts. matt7215 (981), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Huge hop presence on the nose - spicy, floral hop profile that explodes through your nose. citrus on the tip of the tongue... medium to full body....wonderful long bitter finish. all around a really solid IPA - one of the best imo. A very delicious IPA, lots of bitter hops with a great floral aroma. The aroma is fresh hops, almost piney, some citrus. The white head dissipated quickly into a fine layer, not much lacing. The mouth feel is lighter than you’d expect, probably due to the carbination. This beer goes down smooth considering the ABV and hoppy-ness. The alcohol is well hidden. Overall a very refreshing crisp beer, a pleasant experience. dlovell2 (143), Columbia, Maryland, USA
