12oz. bottle. Appealingly fresh, aromatic nose, juicy and citric with notes of pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, spruce, floral sweetness and hints of spice. Hazy medium golden-amber color with a lasting, finely creamy head and thin sheets of lace. Flavor is certainly dominated by the complex hop profile, but manages to stay in balance due to a sweetly malty, honeyish, toasty backbone, while the hops show an intense level of citrus fruit, pine, flowers and peppery spice. Smooth and wet on the palate with a resinous feel and a full body. Very nicely integrated and tasty.

Jul 4, 2008 I think this one is a bit overrated. Flavor and aroma are very bitter and not balanced at all, but not in the good "hop bomb" way.

Jul 3, 2008 Poured an orange color. Aroma is nice, slight citrus. Taste is orange, pine, nice complementing malt component with a solid bitter finish. Good straight forward IPA offering.

Jun 29, 2008 Pours a nice thick white head with a orange amber color. There is also some nice streaks that are left along the sides of the glass. The nose has some pine and bitter hops with hints of orange peel. Initially the flavor is spicy and has a lot of bitter hops. As you drink it you can really taste the orange and pine on your palate long after the sip. Overall it is a nice beer considering it was drank on a hot day and the head retention was not that good since the beer was warming rather quickly.

Jun 23, 2008 Bottle. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Orange and pine in the aroma, as well as a good maltyness. Balanced flavor with malts and hops. Citrus, pine, resin and a good bitterness. Full-bodied. Lasting, rather bitter finish with pine and citrus. A quite nice one, easy to drink and not pushing the limits. (080412)
