A nice thick head with a dark, fully opaque body is the highlight of Peg Leg. Again the malts dominate the tastebuds, while leaving almost any hint of chocolate or coffee on the backburner. A thin, medium-light body makes this offering not a bad beer, just not a good Imperial Stout. CP joeneugs (341), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2009 I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It pours dark brown with a tan head. It has a bourbon aroma with prunes, raisins and other dark fruit. The body was a little watery for the style, but pretty tasty with fruity flavors and licorice. Roasted finish. A little wimpy compared to other good impy stouts, but still tasty and drinkable. dykhuis7 (9), New York, USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark with a thin brown head. Soft, sweet aroma. Definitely picked up on the dark chocolate in aroma and taste. Palate is a little too light/thin to be an Imperial, in my opinion. A good beer, nonetheless. Brewer should consider calling this a regular or sweet stout. Sparky27 (1596), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours mahogany with a one finger light brown head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is roasty malt and dark chocolate. The taste is light dark fruit, roasted malt, cocoa and slight coffee in the finish. Medium bodied but lighter than expected for the style. An ok IS. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2009 I enjoyed this beer quite a bit.
Poured a think black with a thin head.
Aroma was very malty with fruit, plum apricot.
Taste was very malty on the front end with quite a bit of sweetness. I would say slightly too sweet, but I still enjoyed it. The hops and bitterness we very mild, which may have added to the slightly too sweet impression I had.
I would of gladly had another if I had another to drink. Peg Leg is pretty drinkable for a Imperial Stout. italianjohn (373), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Pours a black with brown highlights around the edges. Head is nice and foamy but quickly becomes a crown. Doesn’t pour extremely thick.
Smells of sweet molasses, dark fruit. Roasted malts are present but in the background.
Tastes very creamy and has a coffee/chocolate aftertaste. I am having difficulty detecting much else. Even the molasses and fruit from the nose are barely present if at all. Goes down like a milk stout.
Feel on the other hand is superb, very thick and medium on the carbonation.
I wouldn’t likely buy this again. It wasn’t bad, just really not anything that would drive me here over some other readily available impys.
