12oz bottle. Aroma: Lots of roasted malt with notes of coffee and chocolate. Molasses, and light caramel. Some light dark fruits as it warms. Appearance: Dark brown in color with small walnut highlights. Medium tan head was full and foamy with good retention. Nice lacing. Flavor: Roasted maltiness with notes of chocolate, coffee, anise, and light smoke. Molasses and caramel, light dark fruits. Some earthy hop notes into the finish. Medium bitterness with a medium-dry finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Overall: Pretty dull as IS’s go. Drinkability is about all it has going for it.

Aroma of pitfruit, espresso and caramel, deep auburn, red at the sides of the glass, small toffee head. Full roasty malt flavour, some caramel too. Light bodied, very well balanced, quite bitter, smooth almost buttery texture. Terrific! Thank You joey_capps.

Not quite black, maybe very dark brown color. Thin brown head. Aromas of malts, chocolates. caramels, and tofees. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Lots of chocolate and caramel flavors. Slightly hoppy in the finish. Easy drink going down.

12 oz bottle courtesy of beachbum25. Pours a deep brown w/ tan head and minimal lacing. Nose was of malts, caramel, toffee, and semi sweet chocolate. Mouthfeel was a bit dry for an Impy, but ok. Taste was same as nose. A nice, not overpowering Impy.

Very pleasant, chocolate but not overly bitter. Nice aroma and flavor but just a hint of something out of place. Not quite fully opaque - dark reddish brown.

Draft @ Barcade. Pours black, slighty clear in light with a 1 finger light brown head. The nose is odd slightly fruity malts. Tastes rich and sweet with chocolate malts, low alc, decent drinkable impy. not bad not amazing.

dark ruby, whispy tan head, rich chocolate and roasted aroma, creamy, lots of chocolate flavor, a hint of winey sweetness that grows into a nice fruity character, bit of licorish, no bitterness, only a touch of roasted malts, a fine drinking imperial stout with no real distinctive character

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. The beer is very dark in color, basically black, with a big creamy/foamy, dark tan head. Fairly nice aroma, featuring roasty malt, especially notes of coffee and molasses, maybe some chocolate. Pretty sweet taste with noticeable coffee and caramel tones; some bitterness at the finish. A somewhat flat and thinner palate, that is mildly dry, and without much fizzyness; light carbonation.
