Commercial Description:
The beer is a dry Imperial Stout - creamy and rich with color as black as night. It has aromas of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, hints of molasses, toffee and caramel in the taste. Clipper City will produce only a small batch, so availability is extremely limited. IBU'S: 30 Malts: Crisp English Pale, Crisp Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley Hops: Styrian Goldings, Fuggles Magnum and Amarillo

Bottled. Poured dark brown, with ruby highlights and a tan, fomay head. The aroma was hops, malt, and smoke. The flavor was smoky and malty, but not sweet enough for the style. The finish was mildly hoppy with a bit of alcohol.

Pours an oily black color with almost no head. Notes of roasted coffee and a little bit of chocolate. Flavor is interesting enough with a little bit of chocolate and coffee and hints of licorice and maybe sassafras. Little too thin though and a bit of dissapointment overall.

Definate aroma of chocolate, coffee and brown sugar. Formed a nice dark beige foam head. Poured out (12 oz bottle) black, somewhat sludgey. Taste of cholate flavor coffee and roasted nuts. Sweet finish along with a smooth bitterness. Nice stout from my wifes hometown of Baltimore.

Dark brown/black with small foamy light brown head. Surprising hoppy aroma, sweet nose of molasses. Great bitter hoppy chocolate roasted flavor. The aftertaste is definitely fuggles, not my favorite hops. but a pretty good stout.

Bottle. Coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Opaque dark brown color with moderate head but pours pretty thin for the style. Coffee and dark chocolate flavor with moderate acidity and moderate hops and a light alcohol bite at the finish. Drinkable but as others have said, not a very good example of an Imperial stout.

Dark pour with light roasted coffee aroma. Taste is sweet, but very light - especially for an Impy Stout. Drinkable, but not the best representation of the style.

Sampled with Stegosaurus and beerded_one at Newtown brewfest. Poured a hazy reddish brown with tan head. Sweet malty aroma with carame flavor. Too thin for an Imperial stout.
