Commercial Description:
The beer is a dry Imperial Stout - creamy and rich with color as black as night. It has aromas of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, hints of molasses, toffee and caramel in the taste. Clipper City will produce only a small batch, so availability is extremely limited. IBU'S: 30 Malts: Crisp English Pale, Crisp Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley Hops: Styrian Goldings, Fuggles Magnum and Amarillo

A hazy red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty and very caramelic. The flavor is sweet and again dominated by caramel. I have a hard time convincing myself, that this is an Imperial Stout, too light and not roasted enough to fit the category in my book.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Clear, dark brown with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Aroma of burned malt. Medium body with hard roasted - yet fairly sweet - malts. Almost candy-like with its underlying sweetness - and acidity. The bitterness is very subdued. but a pleasant one. 051007

From 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a lacing brown head. Coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and a whiff of dried fruit. Sweet malty flavour with chocolate smoothness and a mild liqourice edge in the finish. Slight breadish end with an underlying fruityness. I love the label of this one :)

dark ruby, whispy tan head, rich chocolate and roasted aroma, creamy, lots of chocolate flavor, a hint of winey sweetness that grows into a nice fruity character, bit of licorish, no bitterness, only a touch of roasted malts, a fine drinking imperial stout with no real distinctive character

Near black. Light head. The aroma is mostly nutty with some deep coffee. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nutty, coffeeish taste. Finishes sweet with just a hint of alcohol.

Black color with a big creamy head. It has a mild creamy coffee or dark chocolate aroma. Medium body strength, with a reasonable caramel and chocolate flavor; I like it because it’s a bit sweet too and the roasted malt is very limited, but there is no complexity.

Clear, garnet-black body topped by big tan froth. Aroma is fairly mild -- medium sweet, roasty, anise, some tobacco, light wood. Taste is medium sweet, roasty chocolate, some coffee, burnt molasses, anise, light caramel. Medium body. Seems more like a regular stout, or even a porter, than an IS.

Thank you Linus_stick! Pitch black with a light brown and creamy head. The aroma has notes of coffee and hints of anise. The flavour has notes of coffee, anise, roasted malt, licorice hints of rubber/vinyl and a light bitterness. Considering the style, I find it a bit too light-bodied.
