Commercial Description:
The beer is a dry Imperial Stout - creamy and rich with color as black as night. It has aromas of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, hints of molasses, toffee and caramel in the taste. Clipper City will produce only a small batch, so availability is extremely limited. IBU'S: 30 Malts: Crisp English Pale, Crisp Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley Hops: Styrian Goldings, Fuggles Magnum and Amarillo

Coffee nose with a bit of bitter chocolate. Pours a dark black with a thin head. pretty average as far as stouts go.

Dark brownish pour, tan head. Aroma is fruity, molasses and some light chocolate notes. Flavor is very roasty, with some burnt marshmallow flavors, chocolate and dark toast. Mouthfeel is a tad thin and overall this just isn’t quite "big" enough.

Dark pour with tan head. Nose is marshmallows, and roast. A little heavy handed with the black patent (looks like it was actually roasted barley) Lacks the thick mouth feel I want from an IS. Pleasant, but nothing to go out looking for.

pours dark and seemingly thick, smells hard of roasted malts and chocolate. thin light tan head. thin mouthfeel, not quite as full as most imperials, almost a hint of smokey-ness.a quality beer nonetheless.

Bottle. Black pour with a medium coffee head. Aroma of caramel and molasses. Taste of malt and chocolate with a slight hoppy finish. A little thin for an imperial, but very enjoyable (and affordable).
