Poured apple-juice/gold in color with a large, dense, creamy, white head that shrank but lasted. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Excellent lacing. Sweet flavor. Tastes of Belgian yeast, spices, candi sugar, herbs, grass, and coriander. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, herbal/candi finish. Pwn3d (1054), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Sipped on this while i rating the collection of beers from the night before. Aroma wasn’t jumping out at me but it was the usual banana, yeast, spice nose i would expect from the style. Color is light with tons of very small particles. Flavor is spice and yeast. Not very citrusy, but mildy fruity. Alc content reads 7.5 on the bottle. well hidden, but i’ll believe every bit of it. Real good. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Pours a nice straw-yellow color with a thick white head that drops fairly rapidly, leaving little lacing. The aroma is familiar Belgian yeast, with a fruity (banana, grape) background. The taste is earthy and fruity with an ever so slight citrus zest. There are spicy peppery notes at the finish. The flavor lingers pleasantly in the mouth with a light mouthfeel and very light carbonation. The 7.5% ABV is well-masked and barely noticeable. changeup45 (788), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Golden colored, relatively thick white head. Sweet fruity, vanilla, yeast aroma. Fairly strong. Vanilla, cream and banana flavors in the taste with a sharp alcohol note in there. bigrond (1044), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2008 this was a decent brew. I enjoyed the flavor but not the aftertaste so much. I had to order it being a child of the 80’s and a fan of The Fixx. Good beer but I won’t search for it. Ubermunch (23), Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Not overpowering but not simplistic. Drank this after a big meal and really liked it. If you are used to other CC fare (like Hop3) you might find this a little less complex, but don’t hold that against it.... it’s certainly worth a try while it’s around! | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2008 A nice saison, more fruity than I expected, but don’t worrry folks....it is not a lambic or anything! Not a knock-your-socks off saison with wild yeast flavors that explode in your mouth, but overall a good Belgian inspired brew. jeff789 (384), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2008 A little subdued for a saison of this magnitude, can’t decide whether thats good or bad... Masks the alcohol well... Good entry level saison with a kick of alcohol... Not gonna wow you, but not gonna disappoint...
