This beer is brewed in the Belgian Saison style (country farm house ale). A potent yet delicate ale, brewed with a unique Belgian yeast which develops a spicy, fruity flavor. Enormously complex. Available from May to around August.

semi cloudy golden yellow with lots of visible carbonation...medium head...good looking beer...smells of yeast and fruit..tastes of sweet over ripe fruit...I like most of the Clipper City beers, but this isn’t near the top of my list..

Bottle shared with Blankboy, his bottle. Nice yeasty, fresh aroma. Sweet honey as well. Clear medium yellow, small white head. Malt, orange peel, yeast in taste. Standard saison here - if anything I’d say it also needs to be more carbonated and lively as well. Didn’t leave much of an impression - it was good, but not much beyond that.

Poured hazy yellow, aroma of malts, biscuits and yeast. Flavor is full, sharp lemons, yeast, and a bit malty. Tastes lovely, Clipper City makes awesome beers, this is another fine brew from Baltimore.

Thanks to Gregis for the beer. 12oz bottle, purchase by 10/07. 7.5%ABV, not the 8% the website lists. Served in my NB snifter @ 53°. Aroma is lemon, citrus, sharp wheat, yeast, and some belgian funk. Hazy gold color with a smallish head, but perpetual carbonation. No yeast evident in the beer or bottle, despite what the bottle says. Taste is fruity (pears/apples) with honey notes, yeast, vanilla, spice, and flour. Fruitiness gives the beer a sense of sweetness, without the beer being sweet. The finish is fruit and alcohol. This is a very subtle beer, and real nice depth of flavor. A little more carbonation would be welcome, but was not expected due to the 12oz bottle, they can only handle so much carbonation. A nice beer.

Single bottle from Total Wine, notched best before August 2007. Pours an orange-amber like color with a bit of cloudyness. Aroma is a bit yeasty and a touch of fruit. Taste is really nice with a sharp finish. Interesting.

Poured from bottle. Malt, yeast and gas in the aroma. Cloudy, lager-y appearance. All kinds of stuff in the flavor - malt, grass, hops, floral notes, syrup, brown sugar. Wann’t crazy about it at first, but flavors gelled better as I drank. Finished quite nicely. Interesting stuff.

The color was an orange/yellow with some sediment. The aroma was earthy alcohol and yeasty. The flavor was earhty, yeasty, tart, and citris. The palate was smooth. The finish was a little abrupt.
