Sep 30, 2006 cheapo coriander sugar typical aroma. not so red beer - pale yucky urinary yellow with scato bubbles. Typical flavor slightly sour-sweet rotted vegetables and typical spices. better-metal-cardboard finish.

Sep 30, 2006 Fruity with lots of esters and some fusel alcohols. Apple, raspberry, peach flavor. Some spice, but not enough. Has that feel you get in your mouth after you eat an apple. Either that, or from a Jolly Rancher. Either way, it’s unpleasant on the palate. Just because you ferment a beer at warm temperatures, that doesn’t make it a saison.

Sep 21, 2006 Bottle. Gold with floaties and a greenish tinge. Fluffy cloudlike head recedes, drawing a snowcapped mountain range in the glass. Alluring bouquet of lemon, bubblegum wrapper, dried apricot, ginger, golden raisins. Hints of spicy farmhouse funk. Flavor is comparitively bland... soft lychee, galangal, and appleskin. Almost buttery palate, yet finishes dry, tannic, tart, minerally. Pinpricks of carbonation and alcohol on the tongue. Slight lettuce aftertaste.

Sep 16, 2006 Sample at Brew Kettle: Pours a clear orange-gold color with a thin white head that has decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Aroma of spices (mostly ginger) and yeast, plus a healthy dose of fruit. Light-bodied and crisp with zesty citrus, wheat and yeast flavors. The finish is tingly on the tongue with a lasting spice finish. I ended up enjoying this one.

Sep 9, 2006 Golden color with a big foamy white head that bubbles away. Aroma is a little peppery and doughy with a hint of fruit. Flavor is sweet with some undertones of wheat bread, banana, and some peppery spices. Some bitterness and alcohol in the finish. Mouthfeel is quite nice - a little syrupy, but not too much. This thing has 8% alcohol? Wow, it’s pretty well hidden then! I think this beer has some subtle complexities that can be over looked if finished too quickly.

Aug 28, 2006 Tap: Pours a clear straw color with a white head. The mouth feel is very light with not a lot of carbonation. The taste is a little watery with some esters. The alcohol is very well hidden though.

Aug 28, 2006 Unibroue-esque in aroma but lack of a head detracts from a saison quality in this. Lots of yeast in aroma, fair-grounds. Taste is kind of bland, mild Belgium spices, no definition or body. Decent for a part of a mix 12.

Aug 22, 2006 Pours a clear golden body with little carbonation and a slender white head. The aroma is a soft malt with some banana and a very light spicing. Pretty much the same with the flavor.
