Balanced aroma of vanilla, flowers, lightly sweet, hint of grass, touch spicy, hint of honey, yeasty, doughy, very balanced. Flavor follows, quite balanced and surprisingly tasty, slightly full for a saison, chalky, vanilla, doughy, yeasty, lightly spicy , off-dry sweetness finishing quite dry with just a touch of lingering candi sugar. Medium bodied with a almost hard candy feel, glassy, with lots of full airy carbonation. Love the hops right in the fnish, lovely beer. RCL (1477), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Light amber pour with a creamy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Candied peach and citrus flavors over a nice yeasty backdrop. The higher ABV is almost totally undetectable. Very pleasant drinking. redlight (1475), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2007 Spicey aroma, sweet, caramel and sugar. Pours blonde with no head and little carbonation, not what i was expecting from a saison. Tastes more like a Belgian style Golden Ale. I don’t pick up many "saison-like" characteristics, except for a mild tartness in the back. Disappointing. dmac (1464), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2008 12 oz bottle from one of my buddies. Pours a clear medium bodied honey orange with lots of visible small floating particles and a small bright white foamy head. Aroma is too sweet for a saison with lots of corn syrup up front and the pepper and spice notes secondary. finishes with an articifical sweetness somewhere between raisin and grape to plastic. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a smooth finish. Could finish drier for a saison. Flavor is on the sweet side again with raisin bread, slight pepper and spice in the background, perhaps some wet wheat/hay in there. Ah it’s drinkable but as a saison this one falls short. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Best before August 2006. Clear, golden body with a half-inch of moderately sized bubbles. Fruity, slightly wheaty aroma of bananas, pineapples, wheat bread, light hops, light sugar and a touch of coriander. The body is much fuller than I would have guessed from the appearance. The carbonation was soft and rather supple on the tongue. The flavor is enjoyable and rather complex. The fruity esters and candi sugar lead to a higher sweetness than expected. The spiciness and light malt are nice together. The hoppiness could be a little more definited and a little more complex and it would make this much more enjoyable for my tastes. Good, but a little sweet. yobdoog (1441), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2007 Pours with a nice small white head. Golden colored with a fruitiness in the nose. Lacks some of the punch of the european farmhouse ales, but a nice attempt at the style. A little bit of spice in the flavor with the fruit and a very clean finish. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
