The palate is dry for an 8.25% beer. Long fruity finish. This is a big "summer brew". This beer is clipper cities best effort to date. More of a Triple than a Saison. dkoonce (884), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2007 On tap the Oakroom, Athens, OH. Amber gold, with a thin head that laces down the glass. Medium body, with a spicy, almost astringent mouth feel. Not trace of the alcohol in the aroma or flavor. Barrios (858), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Pours a fading off-white head with a hazy, straw color body. Grass, yeast, and zest on the nose. Flavor is cotton candy with notes of grass and zest. Oily, mellow, refined. Dry finish. afireinside96 (837), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 19, 2008 Bottle poured into a tulip glass. A slightly cloudy gold color with an inch of off-white head that quickly subsides to a ring of foam. Smells of lemon and orange peels, banana, and yeast. The flavor falls a little flat with banana and lemon being the main flavors. It finishes with a slight bitterness and saltiness. It is drinkable but I’m not going to go hunting for more of it. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2006 Poured a golden yellow, with decent carbonation and the signature Saison snow white head. Aroma was hoppy spice, and the taste was more of the same. This had all the characteristics of a Saison, but all just muted. Unlike others I’ve had where the nose and taste jump out at you, I had to work much harder to detect the Saison style here. Not a bad drinkimng beer, just not nearly as good as many other Saisons. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Light tasting, fruit-harvesty. Not my favorite, but a nice sweetish palate attempt. On tap, Boulevard Woodgrill, Arlington, VA. keepersj12 (801), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2007 THOUGHTS: After trying Wyerbacher Muse, I was a little scared to try another saison, but after seeing that others who like saisons didn’t like Muse, I thought I’d give another saison a try. Not bad. If the ABV were a little lower it would be a great summer beer. I was sweating after drinking one.
TECHNICAL: Bottle Poured a clear ( I was expecting hazy) light orange (second glass was a little hazy, the only thing I can think of was the first bottle was a little colder), with a small, white head that mostly diminished. The aroma was light grassy hops, moderate to heavy doughy and earthy yeast, alcohol, a little spice and a sour smell too. It smelled a little like a spicier wit. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidic, while the finish was moderately sweet, acidic and sour with a short to average duration. It was candy sugar weet and citrus sour with some spiceyness too. The flavor kink of dropped off a little toward the finish. The medium body was somewhat syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a lightly alcoholic finish, but not really much of a finish at all.
