Commercial Description:
Pils, Carapils, and wheat malts, Belgian candi sugar

This beer is brewed in the Belgian Saison style (country farm house ale). A potent yet delicate ale, brewed with a unique Belgian yeast which develops a spicy, fruity flavor. Enormously complex. Available from May to around August.

Bottle. Off orange golden and clear. Sweet spicy clean aroma, some bananas and other lighter fruits. No funk. Moderate light malts and fruits and yeasty spice. Bananas, orange, spicy clove and corriander. I really enjoyed this beer.

Total Wine. Mild aroma of Belgian yeast, hops and fruit. Flavor is pretty good for an American attempt at a saison. Not up to the level of a Du Pont, but tasty, enjoyable, and extremely drinkable. Notes of Belgian yeast, candy sugar, spicy hops, and a great alcohol hit buried inside. Really nice on a hot Florida day. Excellent.

Fairly good hop aroma. Fairly yeasty in the body with a certain amount of grassiness. Nice and light. I would never have guessed it was 8%.

3 oz sampler at RFD in DC: Looks like a standard macro. A slightly metallic taste with some signifigant floral flavors as well. Some hops throughout but sweet sugary malts mixed in nicely. I’m begining to like the Saison style more and more.

Draft: Poured a golden yellow with an aroma of grass, sweet malts, and yeast. The flavor was grass, vanilla, sweet sugars, and a hint of citrus. Overall, decent saison.

Bottle. Golden straw color with a bit of haze and a nice white head. Moderately spicy aroma with a good yeasty quality. Flavor is sweeter than most saisons but still has a nice spicyness to balance it all out. Not overcarboanted like most saisons. Medium to light body, smooth and refreshing. Overall: very refreshing summer brew.

Pours hazy tan/ deep yellow with a huge white fizzy head. Head dissipates to nothing. Fruity malty aroma. Taste is sweet, white grapes, lemon and light malt. Not much hop presence. Interesting brew.

Medium gold body - clear and bubbly with a medium thick head. Faint aroma of flowery perfume and a hint of bready yeast. Flavors are malty with hints of butterscotch, hops, and cirtus. Slighty sour finish.
