This beer is brewed in the Belgian Saison style (country farm house ale). A potent yet delicate ale, brewed with a unique Belgian yeast which develops a spicy, fruity flavor. Enormously complex. Available from May to around August.

Pours a pale gold with a thin white head. Light fruits on the nose. Light bodied mouth. Banana, bubblegum, grapefruit, lemon, apple, and orange on the tounge. A good beer. I have only had it on draft. I drink it for free so I am NOT complaining.

Single bottle from Total Wine, notched best before August 2007. Pours an orange-amber like color with a bit of cloudyness. Aroma is a bit yeasty and a touch of fruit. Taste is really nice with a sharp finish. Interesting.

Pale, slightly cloudy orange..a little white foam and some nice bubbles....smells of yeast, citrus, and some spice...light with a nice bulk to the body...some spice and orange flavor...good, but wouldn’t want it all the time

Red Sky at Night is the color of an overripe pear with a soft white head that mostly diminishes, leaving a woodgrain pattern. There are many white particles all through the glass. The lacing is OK. The aroma is fruity and spicy: banana, clove, gewurztraminer, possibly numeg, dough, and cider. It is medium bodied and crisp. The carbonation is sparse and sharp. It leaves the mouth a touch slick. It’s a well-blended flavor, lightly bitter, tart and acidic. It _does_ remind me of a gewurtztraminer, in fact. All of the aromas are incorporated in the flavor. The end of the taste is of starchy apple and a spot of butter-- almost salty. It’s quite tasty. I wish I had a 750 mL bottle of this.

Bottle. From my Secrect Santa. Pleasant sourish scent on the nose, and a thin white head. Light golden in colour and alot less sour tasting than the initila scent would have suggested. Was looking forward to that citric/sourness. A light but pleasent brew, would like to try on tap.

Pours crystal clear gold with a tiny white head. Aroma is fruity with citrus hints. Flavor is citrus with maybe some coriander. Tastes much like a witte, but with the addition of grassy hop flavors. 8% abv ? You would never know it by the taste as there is no noticeable alcohol presence. A very good drinking beer. Light and refreshing.

Pours a pale golden with a minimal but lasting white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast and spice. Smooth clean and crisp for a saison. Has all the clove, banana and citrus notes that you’d expect, but not as sweet as some. A dryer, fresher example of the style, yet flavorful and well balanced.
