It could be a little fruitier. Otherwise, some nice spice, and a little tart. Easily drinkable. Alcohol % was a suprise when I read it. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Bottle. Gold with floaties and a greenish tinge. Fluffy cloudlike head recedes, drawing a snowcapped mountain range in the glass. Alluring bouquet of lemon, bubblegum wrapper, dried apricot, ginger, golden raisins. Hints of spicy farmhouse funk. Flavor is comparitively bland... soft lychee, galangal, and appleskin. Almost buttery palate, yet finishes dry, tannic, tart, minerally. Pinpricks of carbonation and alcohol on the tongue. Slight lettuce aftertaste. DalzAle (509), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Bottle. Slight hazy yellow pour, plenty of carbonation and sweet sugar, yeast aroma. Flavor is bunch of malt/honey/yeast and very heavy on the aftertaste. An OK beer. sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 15, 2006 Pours a pale, flat gold with nearly no head. Aroma of caramel and Belgian yeast; a touch metallic. Flavor also of Belgian yeast, slightly spicy, and a little fruity, with barely a hint of breadiness and a slight hop bitterness in the finish. Light, airy, but slightly sticky. A lame saison. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Wierd beer. I like saisons but this one had a odd vegetal nose with alot of strange sugar notes. Some light spice and coriander. Flavor was way way to sweet for a saison. Some light spiciness but the sugary caramel malt dominates. To much residual sugar yet again. Alcohol is well hidden and its not terrible but its not good either. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a nice clean golden color with a small white frothy head. Aroma is spicy and sweet with a nice earthiness. Fresh fruity character of melon, apple, clove. Flavor starts with a nice honeysuckle and sweet apple note. Picks up a spicy peppery bite and finishes smooth and clean, not a lot of bitterness, dry and malty. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Very flavorful and rich, but easy drinking. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Very metallic and overbearing. The alcohol seems to turn the spicing into an egg and curry flavour. Not a fan at all. Transparent red. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 31, 2006 poured a budweiser kind of pale but thank goodness, it didn’t taste like it. i’m not usually a fan of saisons but this wasn’t bad. spicy , nutmeg nose. poured a nice big frothy head. does have kind of a funk aftertaste but i have had it for awhile so i won’t take off points for that. and it does get extra points for the name. gotta love a nice reference to "the fixx" who were great in concert, btw
