Aroma is lightly sweet and spicy,a bit of the funk, hints of apple. Flavor is very good, nice malty sweetness, honey, apple, pepper, clove, nice yeastyness, medium body, sharp bubbly mouthfeel, long finish with a spicy aftertaste, very sessionable. mkgrenwel (420), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Fruity with lots of esters and some fusel alcohols. Apple, raspberry, peach flavor. Some spice, but not enough. Has that feel you get in your mouth after you eat an apple. Either that, or from a Jolly Rancher. Either way, it’s unpleasant on the palate. Just because you ferment a beer at warm temperatures, that doesn’t make it a saison. TheOrange (418), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Cloudy pale yellow pour with a small white ring of suds for a head. Despite being cloudy, you can still see the debris from the lack of filtering. The aroma is flowery, and very belgian. The flavor is true to the aroma, nice and flowery. The finish is quick and crisp. The body is lighter then the aroma leads you to expect. A pretty good beer.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2006 Pours an ultra refined pale gold...looks like a macro almost...dense one finger white head. Aroma is big candi sugar and a bit of yeast...roasted peppercorns. Flavor is also tons of candi sugar...very sweet...quite a bit of spice and grass taste...some malt too. Hardly any hops..and I don’t get any fruitiness from this? Mouthfeel is dense...kind of harsh actually. This is not a very good example of a saison...at least from what I have experienced. Still a pretty tasty brew. dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2008 12oz. Poured light orange with no head until I poured right down the middle to get a small white head that quickly settled. Nose is subdued, some candied cherry and banana but not much else. Body is similar, with the slightest notion of spice but nothing too unruly, hides the alcohol well. Moderate carbonation and the finish is palate coating cherry cough syrup. A good try at a style that I’m guessing is not easy to brew. jeff789 (411), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2008 A little subdued for a saison of this magnitude, can’t decide whether thats good or bad... Masks the alcohol well... Good entry level saison with a kick of alcohol... Not gonna wow you, but not gonna disappoint... jhliesen (406), West Melbourne, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Bottle, best before October 07--pours a cloudy soft gold color with a small white head. The head decided not to stick around. I didn’t detect any real aroma, perhaps a touch of whie grape. Had that "Belgain" taste and palate, but it was hard to pin down any specifics. I caught some wheat, a bit of spice, could be collander like others suggested. The palate brought that white grape juice feel. All and all, just felt like a beer that was afraid to stand up and speak. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA
