Bottle pours translucent golden, large bubbley white head, with a nice level of carbonation and fairly sticky lacing.   Aroma has a nice spiciness to it, slight corriander or orange peel.   It also has a bit of a Belgian Ale quality too.   Forwardly spicy, slightly floral, with a nice belgianesque flavor.   Maybe some clove, apple, and pear too.   FInishes fairly light with a slight fruity tartness at the finish.   Pretty darn good this is!   Nice body and mouthfeel, I’d have more of this if I could.   Thanks goes out to jeffc666 for the trade!

Bottle shared with Blankboy, his bottle. Nice yeasty, fresh aroma. Sweet honey as well. Clear medium yellow, small white head. Malt, orange peel, yeast in taste. Standard saison here - if anything I’d say it also needs to be more carbonated and lively as well. Didn’t leave much of an impression - it was good, but not much beyond that.

12 ounce pint - $6.25 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Near clear, deep yellow body with a smallish, white head. Smell: The nose is spicy (clove and coriander), grainy wheat and pils, and even faintly boozy. Not the most auspicious start to a saison. Taste: Amalgam of pils, wheat, and malted barley with a grainy character and light sweetness. Particularly phenolic from the on-set. Splash of mountain spring water. Touches of dried lemon peel and spice. Light bitterness. Finishes dry, spicy, and lightly bitter. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: At best a marginally passable, though not standout saison. It has a higher ABV% going for it, if that’s your thing, but, if that is your thing, why not opt for a Fantome, as they do have some more boozy saison offerings.

Bottle: Aroma is sweet and fruity with apple and banana. Also has a touch of yeatiness and some spice. Pours a orangish-gold with a touch of haze and an insignificant white head that is barely a ring. Fruit is much lighter in the flavor than aroma would lead you to believe. Instead it is much more spicey. Flavor is light banana and lighter apple up front with a big spicey finish, almost like a Christmas beer. Some acidity in the finish. Slight hints of yeast are barely noticeable. Mouthfeel is slightly on the fizzy side. As it warms the sweetness increases and balances much better with all the spice.

Bottle thanks to santoslhalper. Great tangy sugary orange blossom nose, with sour mash and yeasty funk. Very reminiscent of funkier saisons and even some Belgian tripels. Takes me back to Europe. Fruity and aromatic. Pale golden clear with light haze and small chunky particles, topped with thin white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium to light carbonation. Starts with a yeasty funky tang, orange blossom, yeast and candi sugar. A bit of warming but not powerful. Very nice orange citrus zest to it that keeps it from being too cloying. Finish is fruity with light yeasty character and mild hoppy finish. Not bitter at all. Orange marmalade and tang in the after. Nice little ale.

Hazy orange coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of honey, belgian yeast, wheat and some slight sweetness. Full-bodied; Syrupy feel with good strong belgian triple tastes of wheat, honey and yeast! Aftertaste lingers a long time with sweetness and a good full-bodied feeling. Overall, a nice beer-not the greatest representation of a ’true’ saison-but still great to try! Thanks to my sister’s fiance, Andy, for letting me sample this one! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 05-August-2004.

On tap, 2006 RBSG RFD tasting. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thin covering of white head. Aroma is a mix of crackery malt, light fruitiness, and a little yeast. Flavor is lightly bitter with some light yeast, and a general fruitiness. Mouthfeel is light bodied with soft but active carbonation. Creamy in texture. Overall, pretty pedestrian, but drinkable. I had a hard time trying to identify what style this was without knowing beforehand
