Cloudy, lager-y appearance. All kinds of stuff in the flavor - malt, grass, hops, floral notes, syrup, brown sugar. Wann’t crazy about it at first, but flavors gelled better as I drank. Finished quite nicely. Interesting stuff. aracauna (2383), Georgia, USA

From a bottle courtesy of lilkem. The body is medium yellow and orange. The aroma has funky cherries with wine and hay. The taste is caramel with toffee and some peaches. There is also iced tea with funky cheese rind. A decent saison. notalush (2659), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2009 I normally shy away from Clipper City brews, but I can’t pass up a new saison, no matter who makes it - this has quite a bit of wheat malt for the style, but it’s fairly good - semi-sweet honey, tangerine, other tangy citrus character, spicy and fruity belgian yeast character - a bit of phenolic quality through the middle - sweetness makes way for potent spiciness, peppery character, a dash of hops - the finish is a bit much, making it less refreshing than a saison ought to be, but this is decent. jgb9348 (2498), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2004 Hazy orange coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of honey, belgian yeast, wheat and some slight sweetness. Full-bodied; Syrupy feel with good strong belgian triple tastes of wheat, honey and yeast! Aftertaste lingers a long time with sweetness and a good full-bodied feeling. Overall, a nice beer-not the greatest representation of a ’true’ saison-but still great to try! Thanks to my sister’s fiance, Andy, for letting me sample this one! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 05-August-2004. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2005 Bottled. "Best by" notch at April 2005. Nice bright gold color under a thin fizzy head. Pleasant beery, slighty tart smell, perhaps a tad of skunk from its age. Bottle-conditioned, and pouring kicked up a bit of dead yeast. Still, it’s spritzy, with lemon and cherry, and just a touch of cinnamon and clove. A tad alcoholic with post-bottling fermentation. Nice light Pils malts, a very pretty pour. Despite its age, it shows and tastes very nicely. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA

Pours dark golden with a slight haze and a small off-white head that mostly diminishes. Aroma is yeasty, hints of fruity esters and spice. Flavor is sweet, featuring banana, apricot, honey, yeastiness and mild hoppiness. Medium body, smooth in the mouth with almost no carbonation. Quite nice! happy4hops (369), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
