Commercial Description:
Pils, Carapils, and wheat malts, Belgian candi sugar

This beer is brewed in the Belgian Saison style (country farm house ale). A potent yet delicate ale, brewed with a unique Belgian yeast which develops a spicy, fruity flavor. Enormously complex. Available from May to around August.

Preview of the as-yet unreleased 2008 Red Sky at the brewery tour. I enjoyed this a lot. It is a little bitter, wheaty, a bit sweet but not too sweet, and very smooth, with a crisp finish. This is the second saison I have had, and I am liking them more and more. There is an excellent blend of flavors that complement each other well.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Fruity and spicy aroma, a bit of clove. Medium body. Flavor is very similar to the aroma, with banana, clove, yeast, and dough. Pretty good.

Floaty McBoaty yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of toasted malts, fruit, mild Belgian sugar and some mild pale malts. Taste of toasted malt, fruit, spice and white grapes. Dry, somewhat fruity aftertaste that’s a bit spicy too. Good but not great.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. A nice little American made saison we have here... plenty of esters and pleasant spiciness.

Light, clean gold in color. Notes of light spice. Cinnamon apple. Sweet vinegar. Not stellar, but a pretty good little saison. Love the packaging and the art too.

Draft from a cask. Pours a hazy yellow brown with a small, foamy, white head. Spruce, must, and spice in the nose. Spruce again on the palate with yeast, must, soap, a bit of citrus (grapefruit?), and citrus fruit sweetness. Low carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Medium short finish with a little pithy taste lingering on the tongue. An enjoyable brew worth trying.
