Nov 25, 2006 pours a golden straw body with amber tins and a medium sized white head. little to no lacing. smells of yeast, alcohol and strongly of fruit. tastes of malts and citrus. lemon, grapes. sort of sweet. not bitter at all. grainy, doughy. malty. finishes with strong yeasty bouts. (is bout a word?) like chunks of yeast flavor but not biting or anything like that. again and interesting little combination from the clipper city folks. is it my favorite beer? no. comes close? no but definetely worth the few bucks at Chevy Chase Liquor.

Jul 18, 2006 On tap, 2006 RBSG RFD tasting. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thin covering of white head. Aroma is a mix of crackery malt, light fruitiness, and a little yeast. Flavor is lightly bitter with some light yeast, and a general fruitiness. Mouthfeel is light bodied with soft but active carbonation. Creamy in texture. Overall, pretty pedestrian, but drinkable. I had a hard time trying to identify what style this was without knowing beforehand

May 3, 2007 On tap the Oakroom, Athens, OH. Amber gold, with a thin head that laces down the glass. Medium body, with a spicy, almost astringent mouth feel. Not trace of the alcohol in the aroma or flavor.

Apr 26, 2006 From Bottle. Pours a transparent golden straw color with a nice even white, lasting head. Aroma of candied pineapple, banana, and creamy peach. Some raw bread dough aromas with cardamin seed also compliment the fruity arrangement. Crisp, tingling mouthfeel dancing with plenty of carbonation. At first, some dry sbutle lemon flacors come out, but are followed by a white grape rind entourage. Final smack of manchego cheese. Not overly complex, but nice and balanced with no unpleasant surprises. Thanks, Jay!

Jun 17, 2008 12oz bottle thanks to heemer77. Almost clear yet somewhat hazy golden with medium, foamy white head. Aroma is hops, spice, a little red apple and bread as well. Spice and yeast are real upfront in the flavor with alc, a little green apple, wheat and noble hops, off-dry. Medium and creamy body. Not half bad but the alc is a little too much as well as the sweetness and spices.

May 15, 2009 12oz. Pours orange with a thin tan head. Nose is sweet and peppery. Taste is sweet, peppery and all in all not a terrible saison styled brew. Not really feeling it right now, but its not horrid.
