First sip is a nutmeg kick to the face, can’t believe noone else said that. Basically that’s where it stays very sweet malts and no hops clashing with more nutmeg, it’s really to damn sweet. Some spiciness and other fruits but completely muted by the nutmeg I’m getting. Not bad but not right either. blankboy (3225), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear yellow-gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of wheat, spices and lemon, a little sweet and yeasty -- I’m having a hard time describing this. Flavour’s a little watery, tastes citrusy and yeasty along with wheat, malt and a hint of hops. Average bodied. Not my favourite style and this is a mediocre version of it. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA

Nice head with a nice yellow color. Aroma was a bit dissapointing, though. Not much of the typical saison aroma one would expect; very little spice, hay, grass. Tasted more like a saison than the aroma would’ve indicated. Kind of syrupy, though. All in all an OK saison, but not one I would rush out and get. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Slightly hazy golden with a white head leaving some lacework. Lightly tart, citrusy nose. Medium body with a subdued malt base and a distinct, citrusy tartness. Dry but not overly bitter finish. Classical American style Saison. 061007 SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA

Cross a belgian ale, saison, and a biere de garde and this what you’d get. Crisp and grainy with a light dose of funk. Not complex at all. Very drinkable, though. Light/medium, balanced body. A nice session brew to get your buzz on a little quicker. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA

Light golden in colour and alot less sour tasting than the initila scent would have suggested. Was looking forward to that citric/sourness. A light but pleasent brew, would like to try on tap. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA

The aroma is a nice sweet malt with a little raisin scent. As nice as the scent was the flavor lacked. The mouthfeel was thick but a little watery. There are some noticeable flavors but the mouthfeel overpowers. A beer I was really looking forward too but unfortunately it didn’t deliver what I was expecting.
