Oct 14, 2009 Draft: Poured a golden yellow with an aroma of grass, sweet malts, and yeast. The flavor was grass, vanilla, sweet sugars, and a hint of citrus. Overall, decent saison.

May 25, 2009 Bottle. This beer is rather sweet for the style, not as spicy as some, a nice beer that does not give full hint of its alcohol content. Slightly off colored gold, Not much head or lacing

Aug 1, 2008 Not bad, smooth and pretty well balanced. Tasted slightly fruity. Didn’t have man notes on this one so it must have just been so so.

Aug 19, 2004 On tap. Light, transient head. Beer was brilliantly clear with a winey/hoppy aroma. Champagne-like taste was not a big pleaser for me. Didn’t get any of the banana flavors others have noted. I had a sample and did not ask for more.

Apr 14, 2008 12oz. Bottle: Smells of Belgian yeast, spices, herbs, and a hint of orange. Poured apple-juice/gold in color with a large, dense, creamy, white head that shrank but lasted. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Excellent lacing. Sweet flavor. Tastes of Belgian yeast, spices, candi sugar, herbs, grass, and coriander. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, herbal/candi finish.

May 19, 2004 Updated: Aug 27, 2005Nice Belgian yeasty nose coupled with candi sugar, frut, and spice. The palate is dry for an 8.25% beer. Long fruity finish. This is a big "summer brew". This beer is clipper cities best effort to date. More of a Triple than a Saison.

May 9, 2005 Still and dull golden body follows a completely fading head. Herbal and candyish aroma immediately reminds of honey through its malty sweetness. Slightly grainy, it has a most direct doughy profile that comes out very bready in mouth. Not very complex taste, coriander and similar spices pretends to dry out a bit and the hops feel a bit grainy. Closing a cloying finish that is not helped at all by the main weakness which resumes to a lacking carbonation that removes the life there could have been in there. Feels fat and oily.
