Jul 12, 2004 Bottle pours translucent golden, large bubbley white head, with a nice level of carbonation and fairly sticky lacing. Aroma has a nice spiciness to it, slight corriander or orange peel. It also has a bit of a Belgian Ale quality too. Forwardly spicy, slightly floral, with a nice belgianesque flavor. Maybe some clove, apple, and pear too. FInishes fairly light with a slight fruity tartness at the finish. Pretty darn good this is! Nice body and mouthfeel, I’d have more of this if I could. Thanks goes out to jeffc666 for the trade!

Jul 22, 2005 Bottle. Hazy bright golden color with good sized white head. Aroma is very fruity with yeast and spice. The taste is a bit sweet with not as much spiciness breaking through as I would like. Lightly herbal finish with light fruits. Not bad at all. I’ll bump up the overall rating because it was very cheep compared to other available belgians and saisons at the bar.

Aug 2, 2006 12 oz bottle, very nice orange color. The head fades fast. Aroma has some dirty quality to it, some banana, citrus characteristics. Flavor has a decent spice taste, almost nutmeg. Mouthfeel leaves something to be desired. Have had better Saisons. Overall its a decent beer. Would try it again. 8% alcohol is hidden fairly well also.

Jun 23, 2006 12 oz Bottle-Pours a clear golden color w/no head. Sweet, fruity, grassy, floral aroma. Very smooth-light & carbonated but flavorful. Sweet hoppy flavor, somewhat spicey-but not peppery-more like a cinnimon & citrus flavor. Long spicy finish w/some kick to it. Refreshing & enjoyable.

Oct 1, 2006 12-oz.; thanks BeachBum25! Pours a clear medium gold with a splash of qhite bubbles across the top. Definite candi sugar in the nose and to some extent in the palate. Light yeast fragrance at first, starts getting lost in the sugar once you start drinking. Fizzy but not sharply fizzy, nice light clean body. Easy drinking. Some spice and fruit on the tongue--for once I agree with the brewer. Good stuff!

May 22, 2007 The aroma is a slightly sweet banana and spice. It pours a clear amber with a quickly fading head. Nice crisp flavor, a touch of sweetness, and a bit of earthiness to finish. Nice and refreshing as the summer months loom, and the bright shiny day moon starts to beat down.

Aug 4, 2008 Wacky but incomprehensible cartoon on the label of this Clipper City Brewing product. Floral, hoppy aroma and a nice orange color. Interesting flavor that clearly has a Belgian character - flavors of raisins and melon, a little on the sweet side. Well-hopped and with a clean finish. I like the Heavy Seas brews I have tried so far.

Oct 29, 2008 Updated: Oct 30, 200812 oz, very slightly murky yellow-orange, and needs a little more violent pour to release a marshmallowy slowly dissipating head. Caught some apple peel, sugar, tart cherries. Sweet/tart with spice, giving way to a nicely gradual bitter iron finish.
