Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

12oz bottle. Provided by mwelsh13. Golden onion pour with a little head. Fresh grain aroma with just a bit of alcohol. A solid flavor profile. Not overly sweet like some of these brews can get. Fresh grain and hay flavors with a well balanced malt sweetness combined with a does of earthy ops. Medium body and semi-dry finish rounds out the initial sticky mouth feel. A good effort.

Bottle. Pours a a bright amber golden in color with a fairly sizeable pure white head. It has a some floral notes, some citrusy, bright, hoppy notes, and a note of almost like a cross between tobacco and sadle leather. This beer is as described, well rounded. It has a rich, full mouthfeel. Its flavor ranges from sweet and malty to tangy, yet finishes smooth and creamy.

Clear golden amber with a few fingers of healthy-looking head and lacing. Floral, bright hoppy aroma. Herbal too. Soft mouthfeel, gentle and quaffable. Sweeter than expected, floral throughout with an off-dry finish. Strength is apparent, feels wintry.

12 oz bottle. Strong and smooth, dark amber with lite white head, very hoppy and smooth to drink. While I generally like the darker brews better, I tried their Peg Leg stout, and this brew seemed to impress me more. Darn near an IPA, but without the overriding bitterness. Good brew.

I really enjoyed this beer. Bought it simply because of the bottle, the name, and the fact that I hadn’t had it before; glad I did. It pours a huge white head that lasts til the last sip. Dark ginger ale in color/caramel. Hints of hops and citrus in the nose. Smooth buttery mouthfeel, really nice. Good lacing with a complex finish. Sweet at first, then the bitter hops take over before the strong alcohol (7%) ends it. Really, a nice beer.

Rich golden colour with a thin head. Herbal hop nose with pear-like notes. Fairly rich hop with some cloying sweet malts. Finishes sweeter than I’d prefer and seems to really lack polish.

Bottle. Aroma of leafy hops, earthy malt, not terribly interesting. Flavor has the same components and adds in nuttiness, a sweet edge to the earthy malt, semi-rich, nice interplay between the hops, earth, and sweetness. Body could be fuller. Pretty good.

Bottle, best by 01/2009. Pours a clear deep orange with a small white head. Aroma of skunk, wheat malt, and sweet fruit. Flavor is pretty similar: stale wheat malt, slight skunk, and light sweetness. Not a great beer, but quite drinkable and enjoyable. Nice imperial pilsener and definitely try to get it as fresh as you can!
