Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

I found some odd flavors in here. Could be that english taste I find sometimes to be very earthy and mossy. Some hops linger here behind the malty sweetness.

pours clear golden, with a thin head. Aroma is apples and earthy hops. Taste is much the same, with a residual sweetness on the end. Fairly well balanced, but the sweetness slowly creeps up.

Bottle: Pours a soft orange copper color with a large, creamy sandy head. Thick clumpy lacing. Smells of citrus and florals, a bit sweet and malty too. Tastes of a medley of citrus and florals. Nice malty balance. Some wetness in the hops and a bit of tropical fruit. Really quite enjoyable. Thanks to nimbleprop for this!

Tap @ OTH. Pours blonde with white head. Aroma, very sweet and hoppy. Taste sweet, fruity (vanilla, pineapple) and malty with some floral hops. Great beer, refreshing, need more lagers like this one.

12oz bottle. clear gold pour with a small white head that doesn’t stick around. aroma is lemon, sweet breads and light malts. sweet spice, raisin and bready taste. chewy medium to light texture. not a lot of dry or bitter to the finish. not horrible, but not my thing.

Bottled including the uber pils alternate logo. Pours a chilled gold colour with a foamy white head. The aroma mixes sweet, sour and a little hops as well. Definitely not the flavour I was expecting but dead-on for a European strong lager. More malty and complex than expected. Not the big alcoholic punch like some ESL’s. Good for the type but not my favourite.

nose is honey and thin hop. And an equally thin flavour. Bit sweet. Pretty one dimesional and a bit chalky.

Another wacky Heavy Seas comic on the label. Clear dark gold pour with a quckly dropping lid. Very fine honey-floral aroma plus a dash of peat. Now this is an exciting pilsner. It is complex and flavorful - simultaneously sweet, dry, well-hopped, and nutty, with hints of cherry and rye. I can’t think of another brew quite like this one - toot your horn for another fine entry in the Heavy Seas line-up.
