Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

dark for a pils, strong flavor os malt but not your traditional munich malt taste with a strong bitterness for a pils without that crisp and dry hop finish. a nice beer but doesn’t fit the style well

This one comes out of the tap a semi-transparent honey golden. Aroma has a nice balance of maltiness and hoppiness, but is not complex. Flavor is mouth-filling, fairly malty, with some hop bitterness and fruity hints. It goes down smoothly and leaves a pleasantly bitter hoppy aftertaste.

This beer pours an orange amber coloured body with a decent sized white head. The mouthfeel is very pleasent, a little fruity at times but then finishes sweet and malty. Well balanced, with a nice crisp hoppy flavor. I’ve had some really nice pilsners lately, this one is up there. :)

Poured an orange yellow with foam head. Nice hops aroma. Malt and hop mix on the pallet with a touch of sweet citrus zing which was a pleasant combo. Flavorful well crafted beer and the winner of a small 9 beer tasting.

Creamy, yet rapidly disappearing head. Didn’t think that was possible! Aroma is a bit butterscotchy. A bit on the sweet side, with the higher ABV palpable. Interesting, rather rice-like grainy after-taste.

Bottle poured a clear bronze body with a white stagnant head atop - some good lacing too. Aroma is hops, pine, and slight citrus. Taste hides the 7% beautifully, I would of guess 2 points less. Medium bodied lager. Taste is a little grassy, bock like malt undertones, and ipa rip hops sting the tongue. Nice! 3.65

5/5/08 notes: bottle. European Strong Ale. Pours a pale apricot. Palate was medium body, and flavor featured heavy malts and sweet fruitiness. This is my first ESA, and I have to admit I was a little confused with the style of this beer. For me, the syrupy sweet malt was too much. Maybe this brew is lacking in balance.

First off, for my palate, this is my kind of beer....perfect for sitting down at a bar in the afternoon somewhere and chilling out for an hour. What a blend of hops in this beer, Saaz and Amarillo are a great mix, not to mention a nice addition of two row German malts....Excellent stuff.
