Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

Bottle. Pours a rich golden color with a thin head and leaves good lacing. Aroma is sharp with hops, citrus, and slightly piney. Some malt floating around in the smell as well. Taste is sweet and malty at first with a clean bitter finish from the hops. Mouthfeel has medium body with a bit of stickiness. Overall a solid beer that I will have again.

Aroma: Hops, Malt, Smells good. Appearance: Orange hues/ White foamy head. Cloudy. Medium Lacing. Flavor: Malt at first. hops just bittering at the back end. little taste of citrus. Palate - a little cloying for a pils, more like a tripel light. Drinkability: fair. the more i drink it the more i like it. the malt makes this a decent beer.

12oz Bottle. Nice amarillo nose. Fresh and filled with white grapefruit. Backed with some light white pepper and musky cardamom notes. Deep, pungent aroma. Great hops. Pours an ever-so-slightly hazed golden orange, with a thin slick of silky off-white head above. Flavor is much as I would expect from an IPA, except a real bready tooth of pilsener malt sugar pipes up in mid-palate. There’s a sense of harsh, dusty hopness in the middle and some lager-like fusels. Overall, it’s relatively complex and tasty. There’s a combination of alcohol, hops and yeast that leaves this wax paper sensation in the palate, that I can’t quite dig. This was the same with the IPA. It is really tasty and with a good body to back up the hop presentation. Maybe there’s just too many dextrins and it’s just an edge too sweet. Interesting strong lager.

Bottled. A slightly hazy dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with quite strong notes of hops swell as notes of grass and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty and very hoppy combined with notes of caramel, leading to a dry bitter finish.

strong fresh norhwestern pine on the bouquet with just a hint of white flowers and mint. Solid richness and a dense hop factor on the mid palate and finsh. Very dry and lager like crisp with a long 60 second finish. Solid with grilled Swordfish and asparagus or all alone

The more I have this the more I like it and the style (when I first purchased it I did not know it was an Imperial Pils). Pours a golden color, perhaps darker shade of gold topped with a nice thick creamy head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy with lemons, some malts and a faint overall winey presence. Slightly bitter hoppy flavor with sweet citrus fruits mixed in and balanced very well by rich malts. Crisp, clean, creamy and a great hop/malt balance. Slightly sour, tart lemon aftertaste. There’s a lot of flavor but it remains quite smooth although you know some alcohol is in there. I can find this easily, it is bold and flavorful while being refreshing and it is reasonably priced. This will be one of my regulars.

Bottle from Total Wine. Golden colored pour with a thick white head on it. The smell was not really something memorable, it just smelled like a beer with a little bit more alcohol in it. Some biscuit and dough smells as well. No hops. Taste was smooth and sweet, yet thick and too weird tasting. When cleaning I dropped something in this beer, and poured the other half out. I was not upset with having to pour the half out. Not a real good beer, glad Sean talked me out of a six pack of this one. You are all knowing Sean. Now get back to SMB.

Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Sweet malt aroma with notes of caramel and melon. Medium body. Flavor is again sweet malt with a note of caramel and a light note of ripe fruit. Pretty good.
