Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

Poured a hazy golden color with a thin white head as the bubble came up violently from the bottom. The nose was of yeasts and sweet.Hop, bitter flavor.

This brew did very little for me. Poured yellow with scant head. Smelled of sweet malts. For taste, promises of strong hops but none to be found. Sweet malt predominates with little to balance. Not bad but not what expected/described - wish it had been presented more as a bock.

This beer has a lovely slight orange, but rather yellow color to it. Looks like a great Euro Strong Lager. I was expected a pils due to the fact that it says uber pils on the side, but from the description this type of beer is supposed to have a lighter hop flavor and/or smell than a true pilsner. I can say that I smell a nice malty sweetness in the aroma. When I tried their weizen bock I noticed a strong smell of alcohol. This beer is pretty much the same, but there is a decent hop aroma included. The alcohol in this companies beer stands out way too much. Everyone knows their is alcohol in beer and it can add a great flavor, but in this case I do not like it that much. The malt aroma also has a somewhat fruity hint to it, pretty nice. There is a great balance of flavors in this beer. I taste the hops and the matls and the alcohol is not as present in the taste as it is in the smell. The hops don’t taste that great I must say. Even though they are very present in the beer, they give off a very weak bitterness. The malt are also not as pronounced in the beer. This beer has a decent aroma, great look, but the taste is just not there. Could be the quality of the ingredients, I don’ t know. Beer is nice and smooth, but a very average beer in my opinion.

Wonderfully hoppy aroma. Flral and yummy. Nice hoppy flavor as well with a crisp dry, short finish, but excellent tasty stuff.

An average crafted brew here. Not much of an aroma, but the taste is a decent malty sweet. A little bitter finish makes this a drinkable, but average beer for me.

bottle from ucusty. BB 12/07...hazy orange/gold with a wispy white short lived head. (probably short lived because my nose was deep in foamy goodness) aromas of brown sugar, orange/citrus and grass. flavor is earthy with some mango, grassy hops, a hint of alcohol and some spiciness on the finish. it has a nice citric acidity but it is a bit on the too sweet side. medium bodied bordering rich with medium carbonation.
